Someone I work with seems to think that whistler is the only place you can ski in BC. We were talking about central/northern BC. "They're are ski areas up there?" Nope they're aren't never go there.

Not a quote but I ended up behind a middle aged lady who hesitantly had her skis in a wedge/snow plowing a mostly flat traverse.

Most people I work with snowboard and use the word "backcountry" to describe anything that's not groomed. And they're all scared of the "backcountry"

Fat guy on lift: "sure are a lot of people crashing and loosing skis in that deep snow today... Now I know what they carry those shovels for."
