i bought these knowing thet were going out of production with the plan of using them once I retired and spent more time where it snows. But at this point they are not likely to be used as I planned....
Who's going to be the first to insert heels to use an ATK heel for mellower touring with TR1 toe and use TR1 heel for more serious endeavors?
Eggplant top, dead flat ?
yes
Version wih 1st year bamboo sidewalls. Less than 15 days, Clean as can be.
Anyone want this cult classic?
Looks to me like forthcoming Volkl Revolt 101 might be loose. Just depends if they keep it as low camber and thin core underfoot as most of the other skis they make.
I bought a pair of 88s. Was looking for a ski halfway between a Kendo and a Bent 90. 88 turned out to be way closer to a Kendo. So far only skied on Pennsylvania and Massachusetts groomers, pretty...
Niko-
Line Optic 104 would fit that bill. I wanted something between a Kendo and a Bent 90. Got the Optic 88s, closer to Kendo to my surprise but much easier to pivot. Take a look at the Optic...
At one point some recommended a special socket to use on the XTD cuff bolt on the inside. Tried to search, no luck. Anyone help please?
CpedTed Pics pleaseMr Ted Hyde pics or it didn’t happen
Phil dirt- did the pain start with the new footbeds? If so it is likely they have too much support under the first met or the front end of the medial arch. Too much build up here(forefoot varus...
You deserve an additional PR salary from Atomic for the amount of time and exceptional info you put into forums. Podcasts etc.!
Very much appreciated
“ Proud dad moment....my kindergartener's first high boy! Sure was nice to have soft snow again.”
Hell yea!!!!!

Does that matter for the intended use? Likely to get beat the setup anyway.

Agree on the camber thing, look for the least amount/softest camber. Sure you will lose some glide, but for the kind of off trail skiiing you are doing, one mostly just shuffles...

I'd love to have a Pow Cow with scales, but the amount f days it would get used doesn't even come close to computing.

Agree on the Kom. Perfect for what OP is looking to do. Voile V6 BC would also be good, but a lot more $$$$.
With skis this wide though, a T4 type of boot is likely better than leather, easy to...
Does the Remedy have a a full width bootboard instead of the normal race boot type board that only runs under the middle of the forefoot and ends proximal to the toes?
If OPs kid just had a big growth spurt, the bones grow faster than the muscle and he may have tight calf muscles. The body will then compensate with increased pronation causing medial mal pressure....

And 0/flat delta would be money for me!
The Pierre Gignoux race boots have a lace up system that works this way. The boots don’t even have a buckle. On the clog.
Often, unresovlable heel hold down is due to lack of ankle dorsiflexion. No matter how tight the boot is the lack of dorsiflexion just levels the heel up.
Been awhile since I looked at it, but I know snow bike kits are available for the Sur-Ron e-bike/motorcycle. At least that way you have summer usage. Probably not as good as the snow specific...
Completely baffles me.
After doing the mod, I’d use gaffer tape alone first until you are sure you have enough room. Gaffer tape will not leave the nasty residue that Gorilla and duct tape leave. When you are sure you are...
If the darker comolded plastic on top of the foot is as supple as other K2 boots, and extended down to the toes, I think this boot will be ridiculously easy to put on.
I don’t think correcting completely for pronation/supination Is achievable or a goal to be attained. Especially with some feet. Reducing it some yes. Some of it needs accommodation and I think some...
From another thread-
Tom - what are the Cortex fit like? Pronated vs supinated?
I find this interesting- in another thread

This is an interesting way to think about boot fit, will start it’s own thread.
Shim all my setups to zero. Spastic if I don’t.
For some yes, for others no.
Anyone figure out if toe releases in uphill mode?
Not a fan of telling others what’s right or wrong, do whatever you want. But I am fan of knowing the real risks-

Take the plate off the heel only, get shorter screws and your done
+100 Even back in the day of skinnies and leather I hated those high cambered things!
IIRC the old Fischer 99s had like 4 inches of camber.
IIRC, the new binding with toe release was supposed to be announced in November.
Anyone in the know if this is still going to happen.
There’s also a Blaze 86 and 82 if you want to go narrower. Volkl is bloweing out blaze 82 on their website for $200 and others are also really cheap. If you are a retailer this is a total screw job.
My brother just did the same for his kid $230 shipped. Free shipping,
You’re a tease, cortex and now this.

A strap riveted to a ladder and and buckle would be easier to fab than a boa for this purpose. I use ones like these a lot-
This is hard to help with at a distance. Are the new liners the same as the original? If not they likely have too much volume somewhere.
What part of your heel? Find a nerve diagram and trace it...
How soon until unveiling?
