How does the bmt94 hold up against the crop of newer narrower "light freeride" touring skis? Might have a line on a minty pair, but they're getting a little long in the tooth.

Backland ul78 ski way better than they should. Hype is real. Just enough horsepower, and damp for how shrimpy they are.

That bag (not that specific bag) + some fortunate weather while winter camping is how I locked down mrs westcoaster. Highly recommended.

They have been around forever, works fine, I think the ratings are decently conservative. Never heard a bad thing about montbell.

My thought is that the ripstick tour 94 is an heir to the mtn explore 95. Same weight, similar profile. It's a traditional ski touring ski, not progressive.

Picked up cheap 94s in the spring in 185. Def 183 max tip to tail if not a bit shorter, and about 1550g. I expect them to do fine for what they are.

How do we, uh, strongly suggest this?
