The 4" or so of new snow at 9,500 skied better than expected this morning. The moderate density snow did a good job of making the bottom feel less noticeable.

For sure if my math is right it looks like about 13 new at Alta mid mtn. Was the snow right side up?

Skied some NE shots above 9k in Cardiff today with MyPetPowderGoat. Mixed bag up there
wind jacked snow, creamy fast pow, sun crusts down lower and graupel.

How much snow has upper pc ridge/ bcc picked up since monday morning, around 6-8''?

Upper PC saw about 16''+ in sheltered locations. Upper east had a sensitive windslabs. Sheltered trees skied very good all day.

There are many others on here who could better answer this question than myself. There are more factors that would play into understanding if a slope is safe or not other than just that one test. But...
