Do not set up shifts with an afd gap! If the afd isn’t kissing the toe of the boot, expect bad results. Like all Salomon bindings they need to be set up very precisely, and not necessarily the way...

This. I’ve had no problems with my shifts. But they are a pain in the ass to set up correctly and I wouldn’t trust any shop to do it exactly correct. And I certainly wouldn’t want to change...

Coworker had the same thing happen. He didn’t hit try to warranty but still skis them and says they still work fine

Saw a salomon rep skiing on a new QST 106 and new shift binding today. Heel looked a little different, brakes were really tucked in. Toe looks like it functions the same but slightly different look....

Went 15ft to flat, looked actually like an uphill landing, on accident a week or so ago. Came to an instant full on dead stop slightly over tips. Stayed in both bindings. I was impressed.

If you’re worried about prerelease with shift, there’s no need for sth2 cast. I’ve prereleased from sth2 heel so many times I run my DIN +2 on the one pair I have
