Buy a new drill bit. I hand sharpen all my standard drill bits (mechanic by trade so had LOTS of practice) but never my ski bits as it reduces the depth they can drill.

I always go 115 on my 106-108 skis. Had a misshap once trying to bend 95 to a 106 ski. You wont even notice the extra 3.5mm on each side. Seriously look at how much 3.5mm is, it's nothing.

I have the same problem, similar age/weight. I use frame bindings though... I put it down to the weight. Which makes me think a super light touring set up is the go. Kingpin "should" really be better...
