Tried some BGs, didn't like them, came back home, couldn't be more stoked.
My buddy has a pivot jig and we (he) mounted my skis for the first time ever not using a shop. I was surprised at how shockingly simple it is (especially with a real jig) and the correct drill bit.
Will it ever snow again?
Can anyone speak to Deathwish 104 vs Wildcat 101 as a lowtide bump-freeride-springtime ski? Backbone vs edgehold vs maneuverability vs style of skiing etc? Thanks!
Same vibe at Baker today - sleeper mini pow day - excellent conditions, White Salmon was full when we got there at 9:20ish, up top was busy as well, then all the fun stuff on the mountain was empty. ...
Mountain biking is back on the menu
I did some additional detune work on the tail, but kept it at 1
Yah ok that's what I found too. The tail seemed very locked in and coming from wildcats with huge pivot/slash-ability due to the massive rocker lines, I found I really needed to pick up and place...
Might I ask about how you find them to ski? I wonder if it's the same issues I'm having...
Man as a long-time WC guy (116 and 108), all this Deathwish talk has me really wanting to try a pair of 112 or 104 - doesn't matter which. Just need to see what the hype is all about.

Ayy 25.5 isn't that crazy. But them fitting 294 up to 310 kinda captures more of the population so you're kinda right hah. In any other scenario I'd sell these flat but it seems like they might be...
I honestly think they might just be too much ski for me.
Never seen so many yard sales before as today at Baker - the hottest of hot pow. It was practically raining on the entire mountain save for the top 100 feet. Took a few runs and decided I didn't...
Got some lightly used Intuition Pro Tour Liners Size: 26, Medium Volume?
Not sure if the tour liners work/last as long as normal alpine liners or if they're just different in design or what.
Yeah I'm probably gonna sell these things. If anyone is interested in used (1 day) 2024-25 Billy Goats 186cm with a custom older-version topsheet, lemme know. I'm gonna throw these things on...
Been on my WC108s for a couple years now but can't get enough of this ski. Went from DD in Steamboat to DD at Baker and they have been crushing it. Sometimes I almost think I could get away with...
Just did an aggro tail filing session on my 2024/25 BGs and will be trying them out again this week when the snow comes. Flat bar revealed bases are flat and edges are all good at 1/1. Will bring...
Is the current generation of Billy Goat asymmetrical?
Did I ski them on the wrong feet or do I just need to detune the tails (it felt like I couldn't turn)? Or were conditions at Baker on Saturday...
Just a normal pivot mount - nothing fancy. Thanks for the replies guys!
Bumping this very old very dead thread.
I've got a beautiful new pair of custom Billy Goats that I am looking to get mounted up. Would like to know your most trusted shop in the...
Seems like they'd be kinda similar to a Wildcat? Maybe not as stiff? Any insight on that?
I only skied my Moment WC 108s this year. Only 10 days. Sad!
Damn I'm psyched to get these new BGs on snow... in 7 months
Yah. The problem is no one talks about this because it's geopolitical suicide, local political suicide, and as a result, we get faster humanity suicide. There are going to have to be some...
Got the Goats in hand today. A 186 cm measures exactly 186, making them significantly longer than the 184 Wildcats they are replacing. Hoping I'm not biting off more than I can chew.
Update: SOLD
Another mag already hooked me up with an undrilled custom pair. Gonna be here tomorrow. Current build with 2014 topsheet.

Anyone else been having trouble with the forums recently? This is the best way I can get photos up since nothing on here...
2020 Moment Wildcat 184 with Pivot 18s - all in excellent shape. Edges are fine, normal topsheet stuff (pictured), and just one base compression from hitting a stump - not too deep and nice and...
Got in touch w the guys - looks like the BG isn't changing at all for next season so not going on sale. Gonna wait for a coworker to drive by Portland or until I'm going down to Bend for work to buy...
You guys are gonna make me spend money.
"Re: BG vs Wildcat, the BG is a pow ski whereas the Wildcat is more a wide all mountain ski. BG floats much better and is looser in deep snow or weird crusts. Wildcat charges better in firmer snow...
Too lazy to search - anyone have an insight on BG vs Wildcat as a resort powder ski? I don't need to change things up (my WCs are in great shape) but I am mostly interested in trying something new -...
Price Police question: Thinking of a quiver shuffle and off-loading my 2020 Wildcat 184's with Pivot 18's and 1.5 mounts (306 mm, toes moved back for 294 mm). Edges and bases are pretty in...
"Bought" from her parents for $200k.

Bellingham skiers: What do you guys do for passes? And how hard is it to get a Baker pass as a first timer? If I were rich I'd just buy full ikon and go for Baker pass but I'm not, so there's like...
Thought about shuffling my quiver from WC 184 to these as primary powder ski. But I need to buy a bunch of bike stuff and am planning a trip to France. Someone else will buy them and shred them I'm...
Oh lord it's my exact BSL. Must. Not. Buy.
Might've just been the long skis I tried being too chargy (188 Anima, 188 Cochise) - I imagine I'd be fine on the 190s and definitely like them more for the steepness of Baker. I might just be...
Am I crazy for wishing the Wildcat came in a 186-187 instead of 184/190? I have 108s in 184 which are amazing for anything from 4-10", but on deep days I find myself wishing for something a touch...
Guys I took off my snow tires and left town for two weeks. Seems my sacrifices to Ullr are panning out. Crossing my fingers for you maggots this weekend.
First season up here - have been skiing 1 day. Definitely missing CO :( does it get better?
Anyone in this thread ski Baker? Thinking of heading up on Weds and buying a day pass (with snow tires on my car) - just wondering how they deal with a giant dump like the one expected on Tuesday? ...
hah someone revived my thread. I still haven't skied in Cham. Maybe one day...
Were you in my moving thread? Either way, I moved from Steamboat to Bellingham at the beginning of November. My ski-wall-art installation is going unused because of this season's lack of snow up...
Yah I agree with you. If I had unlimited money I think (like someone else in this thread) I'd have 2 full boot+binding+ski setups - one ultralight for volcanoes and one heftier thicc pow setup. But...
