Anyone have any info on RLD toppers? They look like slightly burlier Smartcaps. I may have found a used one but it's a long ways to drive to not buy it if I do.

Figured I'd update this thread since I started it.

I got quotes for new fully loaded toppers for Snugtop and ARE. The Snugtop Sportliner was $4700 with a 6 week lead time and the ARE MX was $4400...

Luckily my truck came with a cheapish bed cover. I plan on using that until I find a shell and probably will save it for summer travel use as well.

I'm 100% planning on building a bed platform...

Lots of interesting info. I have a buddy who bought a leer for his tacoma and is really disappointed in the build quality. Guess I am leaning towards snugtop/ARE in that case.
