Top buckles and strap loose. Instep buckle and forefoot buckles snug enough to secure heel in heel pocket.

My gen1 RS have a bit of wiggle but I've never noticed it skiing

Yeah, Booster straps were originally designed for use as meterman says, but IME enhance the RS when strapped around the shell.

Picked up a pair of these in 29.5-30 shell. BSL = 331mm. evo BSL chart (usually reliable) says 336mm. What's going on? Did Scarpa shorten the shell for 2013-14?

Contagious. Any history of this happening with regular orange Maestrale? I saw this happen on a different boot a few years ago; can't recall what boot, nor whether it was tele or AT.
