They would need to have a very similar fit primarily around the ankle and instep to have a good fit in both boots without heating/adding/subtracting cork when switching boots.

If you play around with where you're applying pressure in a turn, you should be able to get them to pivot and release quite easily in soft snow. I find them to be a dream in tight trees.

First two days on the previous generation BG118 Tours in excellent snow and they rip! Felt surprisingly good in tracked out areas and soft groomers too.

I have the 116 but totally agree. What a fantastic ski.

Mine has MIPS and Koroyd. Great helmet but it fits quite a bit different than the Code for example.

I own 116 BGs and Jeffreys, the J116s give up a little bit of the looseness and wack snow capabilities of BGs but they're pretty damn close. The Js are definitely more well rounded.

J116 is a seriously impressive ski, it's surprisingly close to the BG...

Haven't been on the BGT but the regular BG will hold an edge and arc turns just fine on groomers that aren't ice. I wouldn't take the BGs out for a day of groomer zooming but they're plenty...

There are definitely better skis for ripping groomers but I still take my 12/13 191 Wrens (113 waist, 30m rad) out for every groomer zoomer day. They need speed but can 100% trench if you know how...
