have had similar experiences but usually a may thing. the climbing in this shot wasn't too scary. Retrieving the stuck rope after was.

problem is even if you don't NEED gas it's a dollar a gallon cheaper than Tahoe or anywhere you're going south of there so I usually try to need gas there.

Looks like we'll be camping at Kennedy meadows (Baker Campground) overnight Wednesday and maybe Thursday. Doesn't seem like a super early start is necessary thursday with the weather.
