I hand shoveled 1/3 of a city block with 6’ wide sidewalks for several years in Montana. A plastic pusher is the only way to go, so much more efficient.

In tele boots no less! Haha
Ha
I was just chuckling at the “perv”ian typo.
Is that the guy hiding in the bushes wearing nothing but a toque?
Literally thousands of options, so there’s that.

Quixote > GPO for this purpose IMO because I think it would probably be better on the runouts. But the Q is also a lot more money since I think it’s a custom only option now.
Thanks Cruiser, missed the last opportunity, poplar beanie ordered.
nailed it!
Not wind affected moguls though, Quixote isn’t a lot of fun in moguls. But it rails rippled wind affected firm snow if I get my speed up.
Hopefully they don’t end up being too unwieldy, but can probably flip them on gear swap pretty quickly if so. Sastrugi is the suckage, best ski I’ve ever had for those conditions is the Praxis...
Thanks bodywhomper. Honestly if it’s super steep and icy I usually switch to p turns until I get to the lower mellower part of the local hill or it softens up on the steeper pitches. One thing I love...
I have a new pair of custom MVP 108s but it’s been too icy/bony to take them out. 18” on the way over the next several days if the forecast holds so should get them out soon!
Gonna mount em up! 18” of snow on the way in the next ten days now that I bought a firm groomer zoomer, ha.
Have a new pair of 2022 Brahma 88s showing up tomorrow that I scored for a great price. 183 was the only size available and I tend to like 180-185ish ski lengths but this sounds like a pretty stiff...
After two days on icy groomers at the local hill, just scored a brand new pair of Brahma 88s for $325 shipped, woot!
Damn you!
My quiver is fine, my quiver is fine, my quiver is fine…. 😅
Roger that
Ummmm, Bonafides…
Yeah, concur with that. I usually adjust them once for the climb then drop them down a bit for the descent.
Gotta say that extendable poles and kick wax have been a godsend for me more than once on long flats for entry/exit.
Pomerelle = great snow / flat
Pebble = not always great snow / not flat
My favorite G3 ski from that era was the non-asymmetric Reverend, really liked that ski.
Shops are busy, mistakes happen, sometimes the tech is very good sometimes not so much. And if I make a mistake it’s on me (only two minor issues over the years, one the result of too many beers,...
Hey, you’re in luck, it’s not a truck! ;)
A tap is definitely worth having, but for years I just used an extra screw to pre-thread the hole. Make sure to use correct bit size for metal, punch a divot, pre-drill with small pilot bit, drill...
I’ve been very happy with my Ariens 24” deluxe, I would go two stage gas if you move much snow.
Sweet!!
I bring a variety of things but often pbj or meat/cheese/bread. I almost always have corn nuts because they are so light.
.
Thanks N1CK, couldn’t find that chart. A little too similar to my MVPs I think. Bump for what I’m sure would be an awesome all arounder!
Funny side story based on an email notification that I would have to sign for the package within a 5 hour timeframe of estimated delivery, fyi.
Left a note with my phone number on porch since I...
Based only on what I’ve read and owning some Praxis skis that I love, sounds like a perfect fit to me. New MVP 108 in my quiver now as well.
Slow snow base here after an epic winter last year...
Ordered last Friday, got them today, crazy fast shipping!
Looks like they are out of stock except for one pair of 28 mondo left.

Not only is it half a binding half a brain, but half a pair of skis, half a brain!
Thereby making regular telemarkers look incrementally smarter.
I got so tired of trying different tele touring combinations that I finally moved to a/t for bigger bc touring with no regrets. But always a free heel outside of that. I got paranoid the other night...
Never owned the megawatt but the similar but narrower justice was sheer unadulterated joy in light powder. I can only imagine the fatter megawatt would be even more fun.
The justice totally sucked...
I can’t remember dimensions/design purpose, etc. on the praxis??
Nice!
The only thing wonky so far was that it took a few tries for their automated system to get my address right. Kept placing me in a different nearby town. But ordering and using PayPal was all smooth...
Given that the TX comp will no longer be in the Scarpa lineup, just ordered a pair from Alpinstore. Will post on here once received to let others know how it goes.
Woot!
Honestly, at $300 new I would probably be all over it. I remember reading a lot of reviews about how versatile of a ski it was and always kind of regretted not buying them.
I came really close to buying that ski a few years ago and remembered Lord Thomas having some good reviews.
...
I wish they came in smaller volumes. Any experience with the dromlite versions? That one comes in a 2L.
No doubt! Except it should be more general, such as items used while skiing for something other than their intended purpose, ha.
That’s why I brought up the Invictus 95, much softer but still really fun on soft groomers and shallow side snow. Nothing like the ti version. But there are better more playful options out there that...
I got tired of bladder hose/mouthpiece freezing issues so switched to the Osprey soft flasks a few years ago. They have been great. Easy to stash in a pocket and no leaks to date.
