Mile carnage, at the very bottom:

Right above my house, classic steep shady lodgepole/doug fir zone that holds rotten sugar snow all winter

My dad just got back from Big Sky and wants me to hear the soundtrack that was playing in the lower terminal. Sounds like a well executed collection of hit rock songs with new ski-specfic lyrics ... ...
Skied 10 times, just not quite right for my Dad (I'm selling these on his behalf, and he's an old fart so they are in great shape.)
Moldable liners, lightweight but allegedly stout touring boot....
The healing continues... It's been a long road after my leg was almost torn off. My lower leg is now in an external fixator so the doctors can attempt bone grafting over the coming months to rebuild...
I heard a thwap-thwap-thwap in the distance. A blackhawk helicopter flew up the valley, looking for a landing zone. Then it flew back down to a nearby school to pick-up the rescuers. 15 minutes later...

Love the thread so far, HA! but I thought I'd add this now that the official word is out.
I was the injured skier, and...
Moiwa is chill, and separate from the rest of Niseko. Not sure about their boundaries.
Niseko is a shit-show but also can be worth it. Made of 4 "separate" resorts. I did pretty well with the...
Amazing coverage off Fremont Pass, best I've ever seen it... and not too windblasted! Sun started hitting things around 10:30 in Mayflower, was getting wet by 1:30 below 13K. looked cloudier south as...
It's a bit thinner this year, despite Breck's "huge" snow year, there was even more wind. Crystal's NNW face doesn't even go clean this year, and Drift is thin (but skiable).
Saw this on FB the...
Good clean corn on Quandry today. 12pm sweet spot for E & S... now time for a gloomy rain & snow break i guess...
groundbreaking stuff montana!
Well done! Happy looking goats there
Good article... whereas Revy is rightfully bummed, I bet Krikwood (i.e. VailResortsCrap) is happy to leave the party. Kind of a bummer for N.A. competitiors no doubt.
Both N.A. stops were also...
What a great April day - stayed surprisingly cool around Gold Dust Peak. Aspen area looked like it had lucky cloud cover all day. Clouds broke at 9:30 in our zone. North faces were sluffing easy, but...
x2 on the Tailgate lameness... what a schill
The sun peeked out enough at Vail (after 11 am) to get the snow moist on contact, it was pretty warm ambiently as well. Skid Row even had some creamyness to it at 3:00
That's what it's all about! Thanks for sharing
6" at the Beav during the day, tapering off now. Hoping for a cloudy morning tomorrow!
Regardless of image, they are actually pretty great shades. They fog up less than any other sunglass I've ever skinned in, and the tint is pretty mild
FKNA A PIT VIPER !!!
You will be missed Tony!! The slopes will miss your stoke
It is important to deliver naked pictures of your girlfriend (or even sister) to this discussion in order to get any real pointers.
For now, I will give you the obvious:
Hike to the top on a...
Ahhh yes another perfect shit-pile to match the VR portfolio.
Hope this somehow derails the ski link deal for you UT dudes.
Thanks everyone - looks like that cuts off 3.25 miles of the 5 mile journey, which is good considering the beer & whiskey load. The weather is setting up nicely too, I will be sure to post some pics...
Im headed to a bachelor party at the Green/Taggart (?) huts next weekend, --- anyone have info on the Express Creek gate being open for memorial day? How is the snow holding up around there?
...
Collinson finishes one! Too bad that 3 to backslap was his only air
I liked Tabkes run a lot - thought Frankie might have been watching some other footage or something...
4 large airs and really nice pow turns. That first air was burly, & totally missed by the...
intensity with that fire battle! great skiing in there
Dang. Way to jetset amigo

remember everyone - Vail Corp votes Romney
Don't be like Vail Corp
looks awesome!
I wish I could apologize for VR. They are the worst kind of moneygrubbing elitists, sitting at the helm of a former funship that was built by carpenters and barkeeps. They took down the Jolly Roger &...
Follow-up bump; I changed out the valve core and she's good as new again - Thanks kidwoo!
Two rides later and it's holding strong
Haha yeah - going downhill sucks!
Wasting vert is worse from my point of view, thats all
Yeah it's way better! You must like going through brake pads. And wasn't that like 8-9 years ago??? You've still got that whole section from the waterbars to the interstate tunnel for fall-line...
Cougar ridge is only good for the top half. The bottom half is a brake-burner down an old mining doubletrack.
I would recommend Lost Lake>Buffer. On the descent take a left (East) when you connect...
Came down to tune- up my spare bike for a buddy this weekend, and my shock was flat. Ive not been able to get it to pump-up normally, and it instantly leaks out all air. I've tried 2 separate shock...
Ouch - maybe you need some R&R instead?
YeeYee - I've always drooled for those peaks!
Drool - loved the last alpenglow shot
Heal up strong & think about more RonerVision ideas in the down time
I like Kicking Horse
Nice! My favorite lines were the pillows - but what about those rams being chased by the wolf? then Candide going to chill with the wolf - those Planet Earth guys have been crushing it lately, both...
Looks like you did alright :) good to see you keeping your head up... towards the summits!
Finding some soft on a crusty day (2/1/12):...
There's a way through the cliffs above the outlet of Lake Patricia, doable in low snow
(for the next time)
strong effort, tough route
Just submitted this to the local paper, not sure if they'll use it but I thought y'all might enjoy. Sounds like Tailgate Alaska was a blast this season - so badly wish I was in Alaska right now!!
...
Lightning here in Eagle-Vail, hopefully without too much rain. Bring on the fire, save whats left of the snow.
Way to go dude! Quite the accomplishment! Time to saddle up at a bar somewhere & claim full radness
Sad looking scene there - thanks for the pics though!
waxing the monoski for the weekend...
then heading north next week
