I have an extra set of plates, posts, and screws. PM me if you want them.
Anecdote - I had a spinner on a pair of skis I really wanted to ski, so I figured I ski them one day then fix it. Spinner was on one of the front heel holes of a pivot. I had the most violent...
Spelunker - parts list on page 1 post 1
ISO - 105 brakes for OG pivots. Or does anyone know the part number so I can order from Rossi?
I have sets of 115 and 130 I can trade (or sell, if anyone is interested)
I will be on QST 98 or Blades.
To the top
edit: SOLD
Have a pair of p12 GW black for sale. 115 or 130 brakes, you pick. Used ~5 days, in great shape.
My skis showed up last night, which is incredible. Buying skis doesn't get much easier or cheaper.
I skied them like 5 days so they are in great shape. $200 seems fair for local pickup in SLC, $200 + ship for anyone not in SLC. Can do 115 or 130 brakes. I would do pictures, but the forum is...
It is the tire check, and sometimes the Sillytude parking reservation check. Both are insanely slow. Last year was so chill wrt getting into the canyon, I literally never waited more than 1 light...
I just bought some skis because the price is so good and it couldn't be easier - a handful of short emails. Thanks Ptex.
How about some TRAFFIC STOKE - they just put on the traction law when it's not snowing!
And general stoke - I am pretty excited to ski some deep pow. Also, despite the limited deep powder days...
I have some strive GW demos that I'll be pulling off QST 98's this weekend. Not exactly sure brake size, but they're on 98's, so they're definitey not 130.
Huh, had no idea. How do I know which shops offer demo boots? Any in SLC, or only Florida shops?
I wish we could demo boots. I'd love to demo a double Boa boot because it actually seems great on the upper cuff, but...buying them is a lot of money to throw down if it's not great.
kootenay, I think everyone in this thread agrees. Leif Mumma was a favorite because his skiing was amazing and he just attacked the fall line. Gougen is similar (imo), but plays the game and throws...
Mustonen, I got you. PM me, I can't get it to work on my side cause this site is messed rn
Mustonen, what toes screws do you need? I use all inserts now and I have a bunch of older p12/p14 (alpine AFD) screws, and I think a bunch of p15 screws.
Also remember that Solitude is now unlimited on base pass, no more blackout days (changed that in like December)
I'll take them if muggydude falls thru
Travel in hcc is not against their early season uphill policy. Not sure about summit. Also, per your first paragraph, shouldn't that help?
Agreed 100%
Strives are sold, Wardens still available. Let me know stt
Strive Demo GW 13 - SOLD
Warden Demo MNC 13 - SOLD
I'm in SLC and can do local pickup, anywhere else add shipping.
Feel free to price police me or make another offer, it's tough to find real...
Lots of people daily drive wide skis here, but I'd definitely suggest the 94 given the forecast, especially with a sprained knee.
Bump this back to the first page
Try to warranty that. I've had a couple friends with the same thing - shouldn't happen and Look gave them replacements iirc
They are an absolutely insane deal for people who ski a lot, but I'm holding out hope that the mega passes collapse. FWIW, Alterra made a mid-season change to have no blackout dates at solitude with...
Whoa, I thought they were tight, but I really cranked them and got another 1/8-ish turn and got rid of most of the slop. Thanks for the help
I did notice the hole for the pivot bolt is not...
I have some SMax 130's with <100 days on the shells where the cuff rotates a few degrees with no effort (rotates in the direction of the flex). This seems concerning, but figured I'd ask the experts...
Are there any groomers in LCC that don't stare up the barrel of an avalanche path...? It seems like it would be more of a pain in the ass to manage / enforce opening / closing based on avy...
Yeah this. Removing cork is substantially more difficult than adding cork (still not hard, but plunging in cork is REALLY easy). You're spending 500 bucks on a liner, I think you can afford the...
Oh man, the whole metal slide came out, that's tough and I'm not sure how that happens.
Contact their warranty department, their guy is awesome and he will hook you up with the necessary part(s)...
Is Solitude removing blackout dates a sign that Ikon pass is not doing as well as in the past...? I also got an email about having a few extra weeks to get a discounted Ikon pass a month or so...

Tip flex...interesting... I don't really know. I can equate it to ski performance better. In pow I don't have to think about keeping the tip on top. In denser snow, it just stays on...
Could be a touring daily driver - the old QST (assuming you mean maroon) ones do everything well but nothing great. The new ones are substantially more playful.
If you're a forward mount guy,...
As far as I understand, yes. It's not clear on the website that the regular parking pass is not valid in nordic lot, but I think they said that in the town hall.
Also, the email for renewing...
Second. I love the stoke. I also enjoy parking / traffic / gondola discussion, but feel guilty posting about it here.
Or use a slightly longer screw and call it a day, maybe grind the base of the dimple is bad.
If you want a restoration project, I'd sell those bindings and pick up something more beat up and less sought after. Those are pretty minty and AFAIK people love that color way.
Also, it might be...
I was using Ikon current list price, but even at 1149 + 500 park it's still more expensive than Alta or Bird if you want to ski Solitude every day and drive your car. IMO they should offer a...
Fair point, but BCC was quite a bit better this year with reservations.
Yeah, that's totally fair. One of the things I liked about reservations was they got rid of the "rat race" feeling of...
This. I saw a few Cottonwood Connect buses off the road in BCC this year too (at least I think they were the CC busses)
If free buses are gone, is that a good thing or a bad thing for locals? ...
How much?
Not really like its neighbors. Alta and Brighton parking is included with your pass. Bird you can park for the cost of stress.
So why not just announce the parking details?
Solitude has reservations but you have to pay. You could get a season parking pass last year, but they haven't announced anything for 24-25, which is not super cool considering pass prices just went...
My season in the wasatch is done; I'm back east for the summer. It started pretty bleak, light footing around the mountain with a 35" base when I got here late December, but it ended up being...
They told me a few days ago they'd be replacing liners for me. My fit has definitely gotten worse throughout the year, which honestly it had to with how much booger material ended up oozing out. ...
FWIW Zipfit is still not sure what's wrong, but they're taking care of me. If this is happening to anyone else I'd suggest mailing them so they have data on what's happening. I'll update y'all if...
Sweet, they're yours. Sent you a PM.
