Fernie started out rainy this morning and cooled off with some wind during the day to dry out some of the snow.
Fun day, overall

Metatarsal pad on custom orthotics was the solution to my Morton's neuroma. It was uncomfortable at first, but the person making the orthotics kept sanding the pad down, little by little, until it...
I've replaced the Smith Z-bend broken baskets from aluminum poles with some Swix baskets and ferrules.
Checked the Swix site today and didn't see the ferrules available but the baskets were.

Hey mang! Did your son make it to Mt Bohemia? If so, how were the conditions?
^^^ The extreme backcountry is fun as hell!
Buddy and I hit it the day after a fifteen inch dump with plenty of leftovers. Great pitch, some stuff to jump off and NO crowds. Ski down to the road...

I'm using a 191 Jeffrey 108 for almost every type of snow and they do very well in the conditions you're describing above. Also have a 190 Bibby for deeper days
The Jeffreys are heavy enough to...

The dealer gave me a loaner for the three(!!!) weeks it took to replace the rings and various other items while in there. The car has been home for the past three weeks and it drives great, but the...

I'm enjoying my 191 Jeffrey 108 mounted @ recommended. Had fun using them on very firm snow up to ~8" fresh on a soft base. Never had an opportunity to ski them in anything deeper
