I had similar cracks along the front mount points and used West Systems G-Flex. Probably should have added some fiberglass cloth but did not. It lasted about 10 years and I just re-did it last year....
Thanks for the replies. I think it was a duracell in there, so alkaline.
I wear glasses, and finally settled on the Smith turbofans a few years ago (I had to cease contacts a few years ago and yeah I know I know I should get the surgery, but i haven’t and won‘t). ...
thanks, I'll recheck it and adjust the mount.
Does Boot Center to Ski Center (as marked by manufacturer) still hold true for longer BSLs? Or is there any reason that a long BSL should be + or - compared to a "normal" BSL?
I just did a test...
I bought a Thule box in 2003(?). In 2009(?), I repaired cracks in the lower box body right next to the front mount points. Lots of stress there. The repair has held fast for 12 years so so I think...
I wish this was right, but I don’t think it is.
Another vote for the SE gen 2.
I've never posted on here before but today the W used a Cutco knife to cut food in a cast iron skillet.
I mean, I was planning to send them in for sharpening, but still...WTF.
Family of 5 non-racers, so I’m not picky and keep it simple. I just buy the universal from racewax.
Ontario RAT or RAT II folder is a good cheap option if you don’t want to spend Benchmade prices. Liner lock is not my fave though.
Off topic but I downloaded the SOS EU ALP app for my phone. No experience using it though. It’s based in Austria.
Smith has discontinued their Turbo Fan models. Any insider info as to whether they will be back?
D#1 just started at a large (flagship) state university. After just a few days, her roommate has been sent to 14 day quarantine based on potential exposure. Maybe the school actually has a...

I bought Lenz for my wife, who suffers from Renaud's...great investment in our winter outdoor recreational activities, from skiing to sitting around the campfire.
Conrad and Bittl had really good sales a few weeks ago, but they've raised prices a bit. Bittl still has Attack 11s and 13s for 88€ and 98€. Not as cheap as last month, and you gotta like green.
I ordered some Look binders for my kids skis last fall, no problem.
I’m teleworking more hours per week than when I was in the office full time. Running IT support for the kids as they virtual school. I did manage to wash and lube all the bikes this past weekend.
What color do you plan to paint the stripper pole?
Looks like a sturdy one. Good call, always better to over-engineer. :D
That's horrible.
I've heard it said that ladders are the most dangerous thing in your house. A friend died in his 40s a few years ago, hit his head falling off a ladder. About the same time,...
Someone above mentioned Bad Hindelang. I really like the Allgau region and specifically the Kleinwalsertal. Keep going past Oberstdorf and it's a small slice of Austria only accessible by road from...
Marmot Randonee Mitt comes in XXL.
Or the Hestra Heli in size 11. Or one of the other similar Hestra mitts.

Not in the pic: rotobrush with one blue nylon brush. I iron inside, then go outside to scrape and brush.
Long time listener, first time caller.
East coaster in the 70s/80s. CO in the late 90s. Busy doing stupid stuff like not skiing enough in the 00s. Now in ‘Yrup and skiing and getting kids on...
Last year I had a problem with Yakima lock cores that had not been used for 10 years.
I just sprayed the shit out of them with WD40. Stick the red tube in the lock and the accumulated crap (dirt,...
