Between having a kid in ski racing and the weather in recent years I haven't been able to make it.

I have a pair of Laser AX's in a 182 and agree you get way more than a badge for the extra money. Unreal skis.
I get the love.
Rock hard refrozen granular from all the rain mid week. Fine for race training.
There were only two training runs open most of the week, the run under the right hand lift opened on Friday.
Just got back from there, my kid had a week of training.
They've done a really good job setting up the new space. It's two yurts that are interconnected with a cafeteria area. Not a ton of room,...
As an interim solution, can you run an aux in through a CD changer port?
I did that on my 07 Highlander and connected it to a wireless Bluetooth receiver. It works great and would sound better...
I've done it. It wasn't a big deal.
If the original cord is still there you can tape it to the new one and thread it through the sections.
Lots of places sell the cord.
The boy scouts...
Funniest Canadian series ever.
Good point, I'd assumed the hitch was for a bike rack
Golf Wagon/Alltrack would be up your alley, especially since you're comfortable owning a ten year old Audi.
With the center of mass so low, I wonder if it would handle like a conventional wagon despite the increase in height.
And/or the freestyle skiers.
I also have a 2015 Kendo in a 184. Love them it in the soft snow and bumps. So smooth over everything.
They need a good driver though, nothing about them likes turning.
My wife likes our Golf Wagon but would rather be in a Tiguan.
I love the wagon profile.
The oldest ski I'm on is a 2013 Dynastar Speed Course Ti. At 177cm with a 16m radius it's a great middle ground between a GS and a SL ski.
I'm not sure the modern carvers are any...
Not an Alltrack, but a 15 TDI wagon with 140k km. I'm in the middle of a 1400 km road trip and would buy it again.
It's had a few issues, some TDI specific, but overall it's not given us much...
From where I'm sitting, streaming services are a lot cheaper than buying CDs.
We were at Mont Edouard for the second week of December, just before the rain.
The lack of snow was surprising. And that was before the rain.
Beautiful country though!
I'm a big fan of my Smith Squad XLs. The two Chromapop lenses cover all light conditions. The field of view is fantastic and they can be found at reasonable prices.
IMO, a Master's GS in a 180 is gonna be a lot more fun than a full on GS ski.
But if you do go for a race ski, something in a 185 with a 24m radius is what you want. They are a U16 ski but should...
I'll second the motion that you crushed the narration on this one.
I too had Warren Miller vibes, which is about as high of a compliment as there is.
Deadwood
You're assuming a linear increase in the rising rate ... I have a feeling we're about to see exponential increases in effects as the positive feedback loops start having an impact. A noteworthy one...
I like the looks, interior and driving dynamics of the CX-9. I'm not sure how on the long term reliability of the turbo 4, and it isn't great on fuel.
I think my money would go to the nicest used...
A friend of mine had a Vue with the V6. Great motor but everything else was suspect. It had a ton of work done on it before he replaced it.
But for $500 you can't go wrong.
FWIW, I plan on driving my TDI until the warranty runs out but concede after that it is basically disposable.
I bought it new in 2017 after the EPA (and Canada's equivalent) approved the fix. It...
In Canada the warranty for the Mk7 is 11 years and 260k km. I think it's 162k miles in the US. You can easily find the settlement warranty online.
We have a 2015 TDI wagon with about 130k km on it. It's been mostly trouble free but there have been a few issues
- failed DEF tank line that was eventually replaced under warranty but the dealer...
Agreed the base seats aren't the best. I tried to convince the wife to swap them out for the GTI plaid seats but she wasn't having it.
They were available for just a few years and then VW decided to axe the wagon when the Mk8 came out. Seems like a dumb move considering they are all over the place here and the rest of their lineup...
Damn, that's badass.
Can confirm that changing bevels is a pain in the ass with the Razor Tune.
Three of us in the race club split on a razor tune last year.
It was a total game changer. Less work for a better finished product.
I'm sure they are all more or less the same
I was up in North Bay. Can confirm it was smoky. To the point where we didn't venture out of the cottage for most of Sunday.
Boating was...
On the topic of Paul Simon, the Malcolm Gladwell audio book Miracle and Wonder is a great listen
It changes it big time.
The roll center is more natural and the pontoons are designed to produce lift so they can get on plane. It's no comparison to an old school bi-toon (assuming that's the...
I highly recommend his United Artists compilation album, it's his first 4 albums and they are all fantastic.
He made a trip to Quebec for a meeting but never came to Ottawa
Yeah. Turn it upside down in the cupboard for a few days before opening. Stir, then place in the fridge. Enjoy.
I think Andor is the best thing to come out of the Star Wars universe in a long long time
Yup. Cascades was fun. It was easily boot top and no lines.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20230304/61e0658ad2020ccc199398aacf32da40.jpg
The only thing that hasn't been mentioned, and it really depends on the club and region, but there could be an expectation that parents volunteer to help run the races. It's a lot of work to pull...
May wear out the USB port quicker?
Can't listen to music and charge?
How's the sound quality out of the USB adapter vs headphone port?
What if he wears a Descente jacket?
That's the one you're looking for.
They ended up coming with a good tune on them, with STH 13 bindings.
The mount is 0.75 cm forward, hopefully it's not an issue.
For $150, it seemed hard to go wrong. They are replacing a pair...

Anyone have any experience on a 2014-2015 Kendo?
I blew up my Fischer Motive 86's on Saturday and found a pair of lightly used Kendo's locally for $150 (CAD).
I'm thinking they will be a good...
I bought a pair of Serengeti's from Costco (the Turin model) and really like them for well... just about everything. Super versatile lens.
And I don't wear loafers, so there's that
Even among the meh ski hills in the Ottawa area Edelweiss gets a bigger meh from me. So many flat spots. Though there's a few good pitches to the skier's left of the chairs. But it's no Calabogie....
In some (most?) cars the fan will work on the highest setting of the resistor pack is toast.
I've only replaced one in a Ford Ranger, but it was separate from the blower motor.
