Costco?
Cant really comment on the coastal snow conditions but I know the lift ticket prices and lift lines suck at whistler. I recommend revy or red, the forecast seems to be the same for both red and revy

Cold smoke and sun today at bigwhite,...
Unofficial networks is just tugging at your guys's chains, the story is from 2013
Looks like the east face of terrace in between the road switch backs? Seems like some half decent skiing up there but haven't been able to get there without a sled yet
Nice pictures hefe
If you have a sled, little white can be a short tour, otherwise it would be a long walk on the flats depending on which roads are plowed
The best option is probably south around apex or baldy
Who wants to school this sled jong?
Looking to purchase a sled for ski touring, mainly for skipping the long flat approach on the forest roads (I'm lazy). Can you get away with a trail sled or...
Since there have been no TR from the gorge, I'm going to assume the road is no longer being maintained?
"Sold AS IS WHERE IS with no Guaranties or Warranties."
Doesn't seem that sketchy
In Calgary for a couple days, planning on going for a rip up the bow valley. Anyone have any beta on how the winds have been/how much snow fell last night
Grinch, where did you order from. Amazon doesn't seem to sell the uv5r as a single unit in canada.
If your into biking your could check out the three blind mice area. Or rock climbing at the skaha bluffs. Couldn't offer any beta though.
Went to apex on dec 2nd for a skin up grandfathers, coverage was not so hot. The peak had ~50cm of dense wind affected snow, some exposed areas were bare. Good for getting out and stretching the...
Conditons were all time today, skinning conditions were prime. Snow was super
dry and not sticky.
Just kidding its mashed potatoes

Hey alive, do you have any beta about the "pink highway"? I've heard about it through word of mouth but haven't heard much about the terrain. I just know the trail head is skiers right of moonlight...
That looks like the north aspect eh? Most of the east aspect is burn and the road goes though it.

Big white area was pretty deep
Went to go buy the freethinker that was on hold (supposed to be) since this morning and the knob heads at the store sold it. Apparently they forgot that it was on hold. Worst retail experience ever.
Anyone care to share some beta on day touring trips from the Kelowna area?
Considering the gorge but only if it's plowed.
Or terrace mtn area by fintry?
Anyone have any experience with the life of the jacket?
At our local shop these two jackets are both 50% off. The freethinker is 375 and the fuse form insulated is 299.
I'll be using it mainly for short trips and side country, and resort skiing. Right...
Has anyone managed to find a retailer carrying this pack this year? TNF is completely sold out and they won't be getting anymore in the foreseeable future.
If not, is anyone aware of any packs...
I think it already is in bc
What pricks, that's a shitload of gear to lose
This isn't on the contact point, the base has also bubbled.
That's nonsense boarders don't just sideslipe in the trees, the ones that shouldn't be in there do
Not unless you wanna be a choach
I think you just need to stop being a gaper and point her straight and crack and the din up
Do you have plans to go to Japan this season
Apex is right by the oroville border, it's got steep terrain but is usually only good with fresh snow
Skip sun peaks and go to big white, silver star or red. Big white has the best base is the okanagan area right now
Just getting into bc, only been once. Although I hit the ski area many times a season
Has anyone taken the blacksheep out for a rip yet, and with what bindings? Debating jumping on it because it's a good deal right now, and my local shop will match mec's price.
Never ridden a full...
Ahh didn't even think about the boot issue. Or crampons. Locally I haven't seen very many splitters with at boots
Well you wouldn't have to tele if you had karakorams new binding system, eh?
How does telemarking on the descent work out? Does the shape of the split make it difficult and cumbersome
Has anyone been through the apex sidecountry lately? Beaconsfield mtn?
Good points thanks for the advice. As mentions earlier if I was to break trail maybe my skier buddies would quit bitching for a couple minutes
To address the skating issue, anyone reckon the Karakoram prime system would solve that issue. It basically allows you to lock your heel down to the riser or whatever
The slowness is caused by the changeover to tour mode? Not that they fall behind while skinning?
First post on TGR, wooooooo.
Okay, so I've recently been slowly entering the bc scene and apparently I (unfortunately) snowboard. Not that I don't like snowboarding, I've been told numerous times...
