They haven't opened it, but the patrollers at the top shack didn't care if you wanted to hike for the turns. Top area was (mostly) fine, but getting back into the bowl had some weed-whacking.

Yeah The new lift has definitely changed the dynamic on storm days, especially if patrol has to delay the bowl openings due to bombing.

I could see those numbers on a decent year. There's usually a crowd of regulars that go up on the weekdays.

Even the most manic days get pretty spread out though, once the opening line gets up...

The base has made for some pretty stellar skiing at the resort. Recent storm was a bit upside down with the warming temps, so it would try to submarine your boards if you weren't careful. Still...

Lost Trail was a gem today. Over half a foot overnight on top of their precious leftovers, and did not stop snowing all day. Snagged about 6th chair or so, and the parking lot never filled.

Oh man I have been pent up waiting for the chance to get out. Snowbowl delaying their opening certainly is a bummer, and I just hadn’t been willing to make the drives anywhere for skimpy conditions....
