Fire Trail and lower Numbers opened yesterday - skiing great. I hear they got one of the Coldsprings Chutes to slide today at @ 10:30. Plenty of great skiing inside the ropes. Props to the patrol.

I've had 47, so far, and about 1/2 of them were similar to this year. 1976-77 was WAY worse,Squirrel and lower Warm Springs was all we got.

In past low snow years, they would post an experts only sign and let us try our luck. I think with new mt mgmt and lots of new ski patrol, they're just gun shy. I don't blame them - lots of the icon...

Great point, Danno. I seldom ride or ski with groups larger than 4 o 5. I'm old and do not suffer fools. I have swept on large dirtbike rides (30 - 40 riders) and there would be 3 or 4 alternating...

Nobody sweeps the sweeper. I ride sweep most of the time, usually on dirtbikes. I treat it like I'm out solo, and know where i,'m going. I like riding, or skiing at my own pace, and often catch up...

Who was riding "sweep" ??
