The new toe I saw goes away from the 4 pedestals completely, just two larger knobs for the toes to slid into and off now.

Anyone got some deets on the new CAST setup? Looks like theyre ditching the pedestals which is going to be sweet.

Sounds like the toe wasnt seated far enough back for the wings to easily go down, I have to whack my tech toe with my pole on some of my mounts, it’s annoying.

I can feel a big difference between the Gripwalk and the alpine afd, so much that I dont like skiing on the GW at all....

Fucked up a cast mount today first time in a while. Toes didn’t go in straight and I drilled the brake holder holes crooked. Buffed it out but damn it’s still a bummer.

For sure, just wondering if this is an issue as brought up by the cascade guy who is making the new plate.

Yeah the front toes are probably not fully torqued, the toe tolerance is pretty tight when they are mounted correctly. I wouldn't worry about the rear end of the front plate being up in the air...

That would give you a slightly positive delta angle. The CAST toes are already 2mm higher than the DIN pivot afd(5mm drop).

With inserts you’re going to have some issues as the system needs to slack to setup correctly. And the purple toes also fixed the issues from the grey ones

You could quiver kill the heels and buy multiple front plates. They sell second kits for $100(?)

Did you heilcoil the toes? The instructions didnt say anything about having to do that
