It's actually the opposite.....this will have more of an impact on ski areas NOT on the eastern part of the time zones. There will be weeks in the winter where the sun doesn't rise until 8:30am...

Just renewed my ABasin pass for next season and the site was running so slooooooow.......they must be selling lots of pass products.

Ended up hitting on all of my ticket requests......think the last time that happened was in the days of the Doniac Schvice. :D So doing Bangor -> Jones Beach -> Dicks.

You could walk/bus to the base of Peak 9/Beaver Run faster. That's actually been the smart move this season, per some buddies.

The ski experience there is fantastic these days. Sounds like you don't ski there enough to know any better. ;)

Put me in the 'skeptical' camp as well. It's too good to be true, IMO. Season passes will sell more quickly next season as some jump ship from VR. Be prepared for the 'Breck local invasion'. ;)

My wife took our daughter down to DIA last night so she could catch a red eye flight back East and spend her Feb school break with my folks. They left Frisco at 6:50pm and pulled into DIA 4 hours...

The high alpine was skiing pretty well on Sunday even without much recent snow. Elevation and a little wind makes a difference.

I love my 184 V-Werks Katana as my dedicated touring rig.....it really handles any condition, well. I did move my mount point +2.0cm after skiing them at recommended. -13.75cm was just so far back....

Well, my skis were edge high (aka 'railed') and that was attributing to the 'squirrelly' nature. They behave more predictably now, but I'm still not 100% 'clicking' with them. I detuned the tips...

It's about the same for me. About 25-35 minutes to the tbar maze at Breck depending if I'm leaving my house or office......assuming zero/minimal lift lines. 30-40 minutes from door to Palli maze...
