I think you hit on the two issues, decent priced and available blanks... With so many rods priced in the stratosphere and everyone looking for a deal......how is one to make a profit?
Agreed.....
Yes...more than a few boots with comparable lasts out there...downhill/AT.
Take a look at Tecnica....Mach1 HV now at 103mm and their 2024 Mach Sport EHVs are now at 106mm. Sadly they abandoned 102mm last which fit me right out of the box...:nonono2:
Bear in mind last...
It's a painful and fluctuating process.....the highly localized & VERY INTENSE fits & starts hits of a changing climate. Sure wish the jetstream could somehow be leveled off to either resume the...
Agree, if they WERE interested in enforcing anykind of society-responsible behavior, many fines would be higher. All they wanna do is get into one's wallet and bank account.

.....Fwiw..paddling/kayaking experiences on the Hudson's headwaters was the terrific rush in either an OC-1 or ww-kayak for the springtime-for-life adrenalin & enjoyment! ..Bear in mind this...
Nice TR.....always get a kick out of the "Up in the Catskills" :D
For an AT the Wildpeak has been around but Yokohama now has an X-AT to look at. The KM3 MTs have been fine spring-fall but with dedicated snows...am weighing the AT savings.
Found a Lowe Alpine Snow Attack 20+5 Daypack in a closet. Previously cleaned after usage. Used less than a couple months from its 2016 purchase through 2018.
Excellent condition, zippers/straps...

Ben is something else... Just an incredible piece of water....beautiful coverage as well.
Just a quick question Miles, if she often needs shimming...has she/have_you considered downsizing to begin with...then starting the hunt or having a bootfitter make room?
Agreed, but in the winter...that which is a minus in spring-fall adds to traction, added to the fact that the tread obviously gives more in a winter tire.
It's my Grabber Arctic's second winter and...
...and to think the bunch of idiots who thought up these changes...probably still have their jobs....
It's a laker in fit condition..y/n? I mean for the size it's really not that heavy..like many of the lakers taken in Moosehead through the decades(Ha, showin' my age)....but obviously a really nice...
Also a very very efficient way of blocking off any mosquitoes and/or blackflies.....

KJIII,
Sewing on something wider to the straps, as wide as a vest would be = spreads out the weight:wink: There's nothing off the shelf, just improvise a little...
FWIW....last winter had the ipike rw11s on = didn't like their ability to crush & grip thru built up snow or crud....about the same as I had on Cooper's M+S of ~5yrs ago. Maybe Cooper has worked on...
