Squad XL is not huge. I wear a L Pret helmet and they work well. I do have a larger head/face but they are by no means way oversized. I used to wear the I/o and the xl fits my helmet and face...

You can also park, not at the ski area lot, and skin up, then make a lap or 2 down. You only have to be off the groomers when the lifts turn.
