Tele festival at Pebble Creek in SE Idaho on 3/11/23, fun event and there is some great skiing to be had, FYI.

Last year I was getting rained on in McCall and this year I won't make it again, bummer but shoulder is going to take longer to heal.

With the Indy Pass you could ski both 49N and Silver out of Spokane besides Brundage and Tamarack.

Today was OK to start and only got better, thanks to all who didn't come up, powder everywhere. Although the temps were 40* at the top of Ch 4 at 10:30 so who knows what tomorrow will be.

Silver was great for an hour yesterday and decent for another 30 min then it got tacky. NFG gate 1 was closed along with Sunset down to Eureka and Wardner was closed too.

Was there for the ceremony and we all rattled the chimes. RIP

Like 2F Silver is home, but since we rarely get more than 8-10/day I'm quite happy with 115 underfoot, but my ex guide buddy is on 120 most of the time, personal preference. Bring on the LaNina

I was going to get the Indy Pass but most of the areas are also Powder Alliance members and since I already have a Silver Pass skipped the Indy Pass this season

Lookout doesn't have steeps unless they have gotten in the lift for the new area otherwise it's a fun but intermediate mtn, there's a reason the old folks love it.

On the runs report nothing was going to be open on Ch 4 today, not one run.

Totally agree it was a good decision, but 2.5 hours of news they would be open a update to the website at 7:39 it's 6" not 5" and come on up, then to decide at 7:45 to close, well 4 of us were there...

Deciding to be closed at 7:45 after saying they'd be open on the news and thier website wasn't the right call, wish they'd just gone with being closed. At least I didn't have the long drive some did...

Left early so no beer for the ride down was a good thing, plus water bottle in pack just in case called in after sitting 30 min since I had seen the Avista crew going back out I knew they were not...

My cabin had just gone past the tree that went down and I heard it the loud bang from the power line and some metallic noises, when I got off the couple in the cabin behind me saw the whole thing....

Yeah the 50 min stop was the cherry on top, Rendezvous with an early out was my go to powder run ntil they opened it Friday and ugh nasty at the bottom, won't make it to Schwiz, have fun.

The 80 min download which included a 50 minute stop due to a down tree on power lines was extra special, never rained on me, and upper Mtn provided some sweet turns, won't rehash the lower Ch 3.

Silver is going to need colder temps and more snow to recover from today, and after today I won't be up tomorrow without 6-8". Was looking forward to seeing everyone but beat myself up already...

Silver 30-40 min ride with the wind, rained halfway up Ch 3 top 1/2 skied nice bottom 1/3 survival skiing, some nice upper Mtn skiing, but sticky lower Ch 2. Saturday should probe interesting.

Intriguing, I'm up for an appearance at Silver. I'll even show off some of the sidecountry.
