or if it's summer find a bike path in the middle of nowhere, sweep it and roller blade it
I didn't know Poacher all that well. But he was a legend. Skied every day possible. Every line was "his." He even bought new skis a week ago. Its a lot easier to die skiing powder if you ski...
Sturgeons general?
Seasons pass is the plural of season pass just like the plural of surgeon general is surgeons general. Duh?
Probably the same kind that Eaglecrest just bought
In the boat I have a small propane grill. Nothing better than a hot meal on a cold day. Plus like the normal safety stuff. And beer.

Dry it up let the brown and bows die and restore native cutties?
No?
Anyone?
Here in Alaska kids go to school in the dark and go home in the dark. Putting everything on daylight would mean kids at least come home in the light
you are 100% wrong.
Resorts should be open from noon to 7 not 9-4:30. Then you can ski after work.
Duh.
If you can't ski every day what's the point?
Anyone complaining about fuel prices needs to own a boat for their primary income stream.
Personally I'd like the sun to come up at 2 and go down at 7 in the winter.
Anybody against this has clearly never lived in Alaska where with very few exceptions you go to work in the dark and...
Fed Ex overnight most likely. Each customer can work with me though to figure out the best option for them. Ideally I'll be able to gold streak a bunch on AK Air cargo.
my favorite is to cook them on a bbq in shell then peel and eat. It's pretty hard to mess them up! Boil them, fry them, shell them and chop them up.
Rinella eats a lot of spot prawns on meat...
Thanks for the feedback! What wendigo said is on the money.
Honestly I don't really eat fish except sockeye over a fire on a beach soo... I'm not the best describer of taste, other than you...
Alaska is a pretty large place.
I do recommend giving Alaska Powder Descents a shout
Hey Friends,
As like 7 of you may know, I bought a small commercial fishing boat two summers ago, and have been working hard to get myself set up so people can buy fish direct from me.
You...
I wonder if I could just wear a snorkel with a piece of cloth over the end instead of the mask :D
in the time it took me to pull up my mask. ski through the maze and get on the lift I literally couldn't see.
IDK about anybody else but I'd rather have the 0.000000000001% chance of contracting...
That thread is mired down with dumb debates and such. Figured tech talk was more appropriate.
Do they exist?
Passholders want to know.
Keep cashing them checks yo... at least I actually caught fish last season... sigh 2021 will be better... I hope
Thanks everyone!
so up here it costs $200/hr for basic instruction, you need at least 40 hours for a private license.

Only a lot more work until I fly skis!
Last Saturday Alaska lost a legendary skier in a boating accident. I didn't really know him except in passing and will let people closer to him speak to his general awesomeness, but the man skied so...
Echo glass 9' 6wt hands down. There's no question.
First off, glass lets you really master casting, is super easy for beginners to get out a roll cast, etc. Second it's super bendy, meaning a 6"...
How does one sneak into Canada to a) take refuge from the covid wars in my country and b) catch steelhead when Canada is closed
Asking for a friend
I like cooking over a fire.

Heli Operations in AK don't really make a profit.
That being said, never prebook a heli trip unless you can live without a refund. If you can fill a bird they will fly you.

Just FYI Alyeska is not in the same league as any of those resorts. Not even close.
Anyway it was a long shot.
I can buy and Ikon and and Epic Pass for the same price as an Alyeska pass.
So Polmeroy resorts bought Alyeska, but left the same terrible management in place.
I'm not going to get into the absolutely terrible customer service and care at the resort with one of the...
