I would argue that GTX is the exception.
Even when the DWR has diminished on any of my GTX outerwear I found the wind protection to remain superior.

Just did 3 days at Alta and SB and for the first time I was using Gore Tex Pro Jacket and Bib pants.
I've used all sorts of combinations from Active to Regular Gtx to Paclite Hybrid and simply put...

if all Gore-Tex is created equal then isn't all about the DWR ?

does it depend on the outerwear companies use of DWR on Gore-Tex or am I wrong and the treatment are all done at the Gore factories ?
