Received mine also (R11 24 186). I ordered them as a lighter version of the Blade Optic 114, they are 2080g, will be mounted with ATK R12 for sidecountry.

Also, the BMX 105 / R15 is 2520g and feels much better than the Katana VW / Shift at 2750g.

Weight is useful in the ski, not in the bindings.

For exemple, I’m pretty certain than a Blade Optic...

Unless the previous owner used epoxy and damaged the thread while unmounting, or already mounted/unmounted the bindings like 5 times, it'll be fine.

Just weighted my unmounted BO 104 185, it's 2265g.
And my BO 114 186 is 2360g.

This is my current dilemma, I'm used to the STH2 WTR which has a delta of 5mm, and considering a CAST setup but the delta is 0mm and I'm pretty sensitive to that, though...

For even lighter while still getting a freeride spacer you can take the ATK Kuluar and the new AL16 spacer.

Just ordered a 104 185 and a 114 186 !

Current skis on that spot are the Kastle BMX 105 181 and 115 185. Great skis but I want to go back to something a bit looser and more progressive. We’ll see !

Raider with freeride spacer would be burlier than Kuluar with freeride spacer, but probably about 80g more or something like that.

Is the Echo QST 106 basically a 2018 Orange QST 106 ? The specs and weight looks very similar.

The brakes runs small, like a 102mm break will be borderline too small on a 102mm ski. You can bend them though. That’s for the regular brakes (non EVO / non AP) not sure about the other ones.

Check if your boot heel inserts and the binding heel pins are perfectly aligned (when toe stepped in), ATKs are known to be very sensitive to misalignment.

I mounted them at -2, one day on them, looks fine. The rec line is a bit forward for a kastle, similar to the gen z on the zx.

I ski the bmx 105 and 115 on the line.

The delta is different between the MN and the WTR, by memory 2mm higher on the WTR, I prefer higher deltas like most euro skiers so I stick to the WTR version.

After skiing a lot of bindings, I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ll take ATK R/FR (with freeride spacers) even for big heavy skis, even for minor sidecountry.

It was a 120g difference between 2 skis of the same pair. I wanted to use them for what you’re calling « sidecountry » with some ATK R12.

I took some BMX 105 instead for that, which are heavier...

I dunno, 120g is a bit much to me normal tolerance between 2 skis of the same pair is around 50g not more, I mean, I'm buying new in a shop, not factory 2nds.

On my 2020 Corvus one ski was 120g heavier than the other one, BC refused to change them saying that it was "normal tolerance", but finally the retailer took them back.

ATK stoppers are really true to size or even small, I'll take the 97mm, but if the 91mm are cheaper they'll fit with a bit of bending.

@andy I have 108mm stoppers on 112mm skis but I had to bend...

The RT 10 Evo toe is a bit less beefy, maybe a bit less durable if used inbounds regularely. You still can put a freeride spacer if you want to on that model.

With the new AL16 spacer you can also have a spacer on the Kuluar and the Crest.
