3 wheeler hadn't been started in almost 2 months and was covered in a couple feet of snow but it fired up on the first freaking pull and ran like a champ all weekend.
Every time I'm about to shift into 5th gear I'm like, is this really a good idea? Yes. Yes it is...

OG fat bike
Very upstate looking also.
Ya, my old man adjusted his bindings so he could click into his skis with his MX boots, wearing his enduro jacket and probably Scotchgard'd jeans. Driver Ted (RIP) was quite the character.
Late 70's. We had some dumps/cold spells for sure
SW Mid-West
The only pic I have of my dad's Penton, in the background.
Now that I zoom in on the pic it looks like a beartrap type binding that I don't think my pop ever had. He must have borrowed those to fit his MX boots
What kind of magic are they selling here?:

Ski Jorring behind a vintage ATC Trike... What could possibly go wrong LOL! Those things went away for good reason.. I really wanted one when they first came out though.. Closest I got was one of these a few years before those..

Massachusetts used to have a thriving ice racing community
Had a sunset drag race through our historic downtown area with my 3 wheeler lined up against the neighbor in his tracked fj40. I got jump on him off the line, as he appeared to be preoccupied with waving to the assembled crowd, but he gained on me when I couldn't catch an easy shift into 3rd cuz the rpms were too high and the 3 wheeler has no clutch. He managed to pull alongside before I hit 4th and then, I can only assumed intentionally because of the joker like grin he was sporting, squeezed me towards the snowbank on my right. Being intimately familiar the might makes right principle, I shut it down before the line because, while I had my helmet on, I wasn't wearing the rest of my moto armor (it was well past beer thirty and I assumed, incorrectly, that the you're gonna die portion of the day's festivities was over) and was concerned I was gonna die. I cursed him as enthusiastically as I knew how, much to the delight of his jeering backseat passengers, and went straight home to get a fresh beer to nurse my wounded pride.
