Bunch of places where there are no sidewalks because there’s this “multi-use” bike path presumably suitable for shared use by cyclists and pedestrians…which was always kind of an iffy plan, given everything inherent to walking vs cycling. Now, though, with a hailstorm of wobbly 70 year olds doing 27mph on ebikes, we pretty much need a new bike path system for pedestrians and actual non-moped bicycles, because nobody can muster the will to tell the e-bike people to go do motorized speed in the road with the rest of the motorized traffic.
Yeah, I've seen that too...been passed on a straight by an e-biker who then immediately slams on the brakes to negotiate a minor turn. Definitely a gap between their skills and the speed they're able to travel.Quote:

Last weekend I was driving down BCC and followed a rider for a while through a steep section (Storm Mountain area) where he was riding near or above the speed limit (30-45 mph). He wasn't claiming the lane like he should have given his speed which would have been an invitation for less courteous drivers to make a dangerous pass.
