You guys are drastically overestimating how much the average NFL fan cares about COVID. If Rodgers comes back next week and keeps slinging it like he has been, this whole controversy will be largely forgotten by December.

Right on. Sheesh. Lots of drama in the NFL this season. Lovey Dovey throws 4 INT's Sun and GB fans will be hoping for Ay-Ay-Ron back.
Go Bills.
At least he's checked all the boxes.

Oh, NFL teams and fans will put up with a ton for a player of his caliber, just like they tolerate guys who beat up women. But this lie will follow him forever, like a baseball player with a positive steroid test. When he retires, every article reflecting on his career will include a mention of his covid lie. He has absolutely damaged his credibility.
I don't know if it's the collapse of our public education system or the Russians are pumping some kind of stupid drug into our water supply but each day is looking closer to Idiocracy than the last
OBJ: Look at me!!!
A-Aron Rodgers: Hold my beer.
And here it is. Trotter was obviously sitting on this waiting to be told he could print it.
"The inside story of how the relationship between Baker and OBJ fell apart" or something like that as the title.

Also, a reminder that this thread is for NFL news and the depression thread is for commiseration. And bitchin. And drinking.
Pretty solid anti-Rogers rant:

What else can you cure Dr. Rogan?
My inlaws are Packers fan to the core, life long, and they hate him now. Want him gone.

Between the good place references and meme bortles should be able to make a career out of that somehow lol
Holy shit, what a score. TB pays up for 600th TD ball.

Maybe Rogers will change his political views and go play for Tampa Bay next season..
What is so odd but so common among anti vaxxers is how willing they are to take all sorts of other drugs except the one most proven to fight covid. Rodgers said he took ivermectin and monoclonal antibodies, but wouldn't take the vaccine. So weird.
And plays a sport that virtually guarantees he will live with a head injury the rest of his life.

that can't actually be true according to something I read today on SB nation.
Quote:
The QB went on to say that the reason he wasn’t vaccinated was because he’s allergic to an ingredient present in both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine.
There’s just one problem: There’s no common ingredient in every variant of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine outside of its mRNA component.
[table of ingredients]
The only common ingredient is sucrose, otherwise known as sugar — and Tromethamine, an extremely common blood thinner used in the vast majority of not just vaccines, but any kind of shots — including painkillers. In addition, there are variants of the Prizer vaccine which do not contain Tromethamine, specifically for those who do have allergies to the ingredient.
So the idea that Rodgers had no other choice except the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, as he stated, is likely another lie. Either he’s not informed on the issue, or he’s once again willingly trying to mislead people.
And none of the ingredients he claims to be allergic to are used on JnJ at all..
Hell, you can murder a guy and Baltimore will build you a statue

Nate Jackson's book does a great job explaining that offense. He played under Gary Kubiak, who always harped on the perfection of routes. If it was a quick slant with a 5 yard break, it couldn't be 4, 6 or 7, it had to be 5. That consistency was critical.
RE: Aaron Rodgers. I thought Rich Eisen's response was the most damning. He just sounded exhausted, like so many of us are, from dealing with another person who just doesn't get it.
I feel like he has a future at Tesla. He could be Elon's spokesman. Mopping up a crazy mess with more mess.
Aaron Rodgers Loses Sponsorship in COVID-19 Vaccination Controversy Aftermath
Prevea Health announced that it has ended its partnership with Aaron Rodgers less than a day after his chaotic appearance on The Pat McAfee Show in which he revealed he is unvaccinated.
In the interview, Rodgers clarified the recent reports, some that may result in a fine for the quarterback. But he also made some controversial comments throughout the interview, like misquoting Martin Luther King Jr. and using the phrase "my body, my rights" as a defense.
“Prevea Health remains deeply committed to protecting its patients, staff, providers and communities amidst the COVID-19 pandemic,” an organization spokesperson said in a statement. “This includes encouraging and helping all eligible populations to become vaccinated against COVID-19 to prevent the virus from further significantly impacting lives and livelihoods.”
The Packers quarterback has been a spokesperson for the organization since 2012.
a a arrogant ay ay ron
fuckin up my fantasy dreams
I see that OBJ is saying he wants to go to a postseason contender. Duh, doesn't everybody? What makes this POS prima donna think he can go where he wants when he's been trouble wherever he's been. He'll probably get his wish because no team would pick up that douche if they weren't in the hunt.
Think I saw the tab is like $7.5m to pick up OBJ as a rental for the rest of the season.

OBJ gets the 7.5 once he clears waivers, right? So it was a balancing act between the Browns not wanting to eat his whole 9 mil, and OBJ not wanting to get picked up by the lions on waivers.
He gets the 7.5 million if a team makes a waiver claim, with the Browns paying portion of the money and the new team playing the rest as a one time roster bonus. If he isn't claimed the Browns still pay the amount. And yes, they agreed to this because the Browns save money and OBJ likely gets to pick the team he signs with.
