This thread was claimed to be started as a place to discuss the vaccine in a healthy manner. It's become exactly the opposite. The majority of what I have read in here is suggesting that many of you people, some of who I have known for years, seem to think that any opposition to the stance you have taken makes that person somehow inferior to them. Any suggestion of an idea that doesn't align with said group is immediately trampled out of existence. How is that productive? It's actually sad.
All I'm suggesting is that maybe, just maybe, try a little harder to respect your fellow humans for being just that. Human.
Made an appt for my second booster plus a shingles vax. Blocked out the next 2 days b/c the shingles vax is supposed to be rough.
Maybe the 2nd booster isn't needed, but the best argument I have seen against is that it isn't needed, not that there's any shred of evidence that it would be harmful. If it maybe isn't needed, but won't cause me harm and is free and maybe will help, well, I'll give it a whirl.
i'm happy to have this conversation with you in person some day, but this superiority/inferiority thing isn't the meat of it...that seems to be a tribal byproduct of a medical argument that got diverted in media to a partisan, tribal divide

^^ shingles vax was a piece of cake for me. Minor soreness at the injection site for maybe half a day.
I’ve known plenty of people who got shingles, glad I got vaxxed for it.

Here is another take on 4th dose. I think the wife one gets one, her doctor has her charted for it already. Daughter turned 12 yesterday. She will get her adult 30 mcg Pfizer 1st boost as soon as she is eligible 5 months out (May).
Myself, my negative has softened. If I did get one it would be Pfizer on top of my 3 Modernas. Still seems silly though to bother with it so soon.

Because it has been six months since my booster, I believe waning immunity is real And a risk, And I have public exposure ( that I try to minimize ),
I will be looking for another booster this month.
I believe and I hope by being vaccinated, I am less likely to transmit covid ( though it is well documented in these pages, immunity does not prevent transmission. )
