Why didn’t my ant farm have to worry about COVID?
It’s full of anty-bodies!
I see pureG is off his medication again. Somebody PM me when his brain stops firing off like a string of firecrackers.
I work in health insurance and with us it's near 100% of inpatient COVID admissions are UNVAXED. Wouldn't be surprised if the government lets insurance companies refuse to cover COVID treatment for the UNVAXED. If free beer and a lottery won't do it, maybe the fear of a $60k hospital bill will.
yeah I actualy read an artical quoting figures of 99.2 % or SFT but figured > 90 was close enough to get the message across
What figures do you have for "post-COVID syndrome" like in this artical ?
https://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/lon...ac-1.Countries
Or reoccuring long haul sickness ?
CBC is considered a pretty credible news source
Yeah. Why do things half-assed? Prolly top it off with the Ayahuasca based vax in the fall.
That article won't pop up for me, but interestingly enough I did just do a pre / post analysis at a very high level. Even six months after a COVID diagnoses (lab - minor case OR hospital - serious case) members that have had COVID are about 40% more likely to be admitted to a hospital then those that have not had it. Haven't looked at other types of claims or dug into what they're in there for yet though.
CBS did s story on a man and his pregnant wife who didn't vax and contracted the virus. Baby was delivered early and spent months in the NICU. That plus mom & dad's time in the hospital was some insane amount of money, 100s of thousands after insurance. At the end of the story the reporter said "and the vaccine is free."
Patiently waiting to hear how this sort of plan would infringe on their freedumb.

Duno why you couldn't view a CBC artical but its a short artical so I copied it for ya
"" A new review by the Public Health Agency of Canada says more than half of COVID-19 patients might suffer from "post-COVID syndrome" for more than three months after testing positive.
The review looked at more than two dozen studies from around the world which asked confirmed COVID-19 patients to report at least one long-term symptom.
Initial findings suggest more than eight in 10 people had at least one long-term symptom four to 12 weeks after diagnosis, and more than half reported lingering symptoms after 12 weeks.

Why the delta variant means some Canadians now more 'at risk' from COVID-19 than ever before
Fatigue, pain, shortness of breath and sleep disturbances were the most common issues, followed by anxiety, cough and hair loss.
Chief Public Health Officer Dr. Theresa Tam said in a statement that while most people will recover fully from COVID-19 within weeks, what is known as "long COVID" can affect people across all age groups — no matter how sick they got at first.
The study notes some potential weaknesses in the data because of self-reporting of conditions, a bias in the selection of patients involved in the studies, and a lack of knowledge of what pre-existing conditions patients might have had before they got COVID-19. ""
So pretty close to what we're seeing.
Ha. Joking aside, I did have some visitors from LA out here and they were convinced that the federal government needs to force private companies to require vaccines. I'm a Biden voting neo-lib, but that combined with some of their takes on gun ownership, hunting and land management was a nice reminder that the the extremes of both sides have a disconcerting slide towards authoritarianism.
There was this one time in Burning man Camp when splat wanted o build the biggest chocolate bong on earth. CHOCOLATE. In the desert.
I think the cooling unit of that bong alone was a 2million Dollar construction. I'm not even mentioning the lightshow or womanning the 57 stripper pedestals.
Somehow I am on Rand Paul’s email list. Here is the latest from that dipshit:

Harry, the COVID hysteria has already gone on too long…
And these power-hungry bureaucrats don’t want to let go!
That’s probably why we’re hearing a lot about this new spooky “delta variant.”
Don’t let the fear mongers win. New public England study of delta variant shows 44 deaths out of 53,822 (.08%) in the unvaccinated group.
We must stand strong on the side of science and refuse to allow another lockdown, more regulation, and more useless rules.
If you ask me, enough is enough! If you agree, please chip in today to join my fight.

Harry, if we allow this nonsense of the "safety at all costs" narrative to continue, we're never going to be a free country again.
There's no vaccine, no law, and no regulation that will satisfy a power-hungry bureaucrat. EVER.
We cannot allow our country to be shut down and our businesses destroyed over an illness most healthy individuals will recover from.
No matter what “variant” they’re trying to scare us with, freedom must prevail.
That's why I'm putting my foot down. I will not believe the hype.
I refuse to allow this chaos to become permanent, Harry.
I have real power as a U.S. Senator to expose these bureaucrats and their endless theatrics, but I can't do it alone.
I need to show strength against the bureaucracy. Would you please chip in $100, $50, $25, or $10 to help out?
Together, I know you and I can stop them. And we can't give up until we do.

Lol politicians are bad but give me a fat donation so I can keep being one. Snake oil salesmen never quit.
Could be it's pretty much balanced out by the amount saved in long-term care costs for the elderly. Or, put another way, the amount of money lost by the long-term care industry because so many of their "customers" died earlier than they would have. I wonder if anybody will ever try to put a number on how much money did NOT get spent on long-term care because of covid deaths. Or perhaps that would be too callous.
It's a great point and I've thought about it a bit in relation to governmental assistance. Less social security and disability will be paid out since most covid death were older and/or had health issues. May be a net positive that helps SS solvency

For the ones that died, sure. But what about all the people who spent days or weeks in the hospital but managed to not die? I'm not even sure how many people that is, but it's a large number, and every day they were in there was $10k-$40k+ depending on the hospital and whether they were in ICU or genpop.
Save the government budget.
Kill all the old people.
ps. Older than me, of course.
