I just did a 5 day trip to Revelstoke from Bellingham. Proof of a negative Covid test in the last 72 hours along with proof of being fully vaccinated and having the travel Canada app info submitted is Required for driving into Canada. They are checking all of those documents.
On top of that they are randomly selecting people to do an additional Covid test upon entering. It’s a bit overkill IMOp if your fully vaccinated but that’s the current rules.
Upon returning to the us there is no Covid questions / requirements at all if you are a us citizen.
We didn’t see a single non Canadian plate the entire trip. So not many are crossing.
