Alberta-hwy 1 to Banff lots of USA plates, however the USA plates have been consistent without border being open in previous months. Lots of insurance adjusters up here dealing with storm claims from last year and lots of energy contractors/employees around enjoying the sights. No big deal. On a weird note as of late I’ve noticed a large quantity of sask plates....

My wife and I shared a table at the brewery this afternoon with a guy from Saskatoon who's been working in California and now moved to Montana. Talk turned to covid as it always does these days, and he said he was unvaxxed, suspicious of it, blah blah blah. We said we and our kids were fully vaxxed, blah blah blah. He said he didn't get the shingles vax either, then got shingles, and it was the worst thing ever. Not sure how he squared that in his head with not getting the covid vax, but whatever.
Once we got past that, we sat and talked with him for an hour. He was new to Helena and really psyched to be living in Montana. We gave him all sorts of local tips. Great guy, really nice and interesting to talk to. You Canucks are all right in my book--even if you are a bunch of kooky anti-vaxxers. :)
