Yeah Tahoej, you're definitely gonna hate those heavy 108s. Send them to me for proper disposal.
IMO, light skis are good for skiing uphill. Or spinning. Otherwise, gimme DA BEEF

When I said "lighter" I meant for an inbounds ski, so like 1900 - 2200 grams vs. 2300+ ... IMO that's the sweet spot for feeling light enough to swing around easily but heavy enough to still charge through cut-up snow (for skis in the 182 - 190cm range). Seems like the Moment crew agrees with that, generally speaking, based on all of the lighter weights on so many of their models compared to previously.

Other ski is 1974 grams, so just a bit lighter than the web site says. I was planning on mounting with STH2’s but kind of thinking about Shifts at that weight. Seems perfect for a do it all travel ski. These are 184cm, btw.
I haven’t flexed my Ravens in a while so hard to say but I’m guessing somewhat similar- but obviously with a little more back-bone.
Wcat 108 190 inbound!!! [emoji3]

That Is a bit different than the website states. Curious if others get a similar weight.

190(187 straight pull)
2053g & 2064g They weigh the same as my 17/18 PB&Js. But wont judge until I ski them.

Not doubting you but the Moment website says the PB&J for 2018/2019 weighs 1860 grams/ski. I know Moments have gotten lighter over time, but I thought it was kind of gradual, not 200 grams/ski in one year. Can anyone else weigh a pair of PB&Js from 17/18 or 18/19?
My 17/18 188 Moment PB&J weigh 2033g & 2063g.
I’ll re-weigh them to night, but it should be right.
Huh. So yours are ~70 grams heavier than Mr. Pretzel's. That's a pretty big variation. Especially since I thought Moment was touting their new core supplier and construction techniques that'd be more consistent.
Is there a place on the order form where I can ask for a heavy pair?
I think its really dependent on the supply of wood they use for each set of cores. Weights naturally vary depending on season and batch of the wood they receive. I too thought they were really dialing in the construction which would lead to more consistent weights, but apparently not. Seems normal though, this happens with a lot of skis.
And i was actually thinking about doing the same thing haha Give me the heaviest pair you got! Although when i want to ski heavy skis, Ill just bust out my 192 Garbones ;) 2400 grams, yewwww. Fucking rockets!
For other reference, also just got some Wildcat 108 Tour 190 that came in at 1780 grams and 1820 grams. Slight variation, and slightly heavier that listed weight, but its very subtle and Im not complaining.
You guys are hilarious.
It's a wood core.
We strive to make the left and right ski as close as we can.
70g is .15lbs. Not much variation for the PAIR. We will talk to mother nature about this and ask her to do better.
We can not realistically match the numbers we list on the website unless we move to a foam core or another controllable substrate
At the end of the day the ski feels and rides damper than our traditional build. Don't read into the numbers too much, that's Blisters job.
Am I the only one that feels Moment’s skis the last couple of years (lighter construction) actually feel more powerful and lively than earlier editions?
Initially they feel less damp, but as soon as they have any speed at all they become very damp. I’ll trade that weight for a more energetic ski any day.
