Thanks KQ. That is a good video showing the zipper repair trick. I did that on the garment I'm getting the zipper replaced, but the teeth eventually wore too much.

In the other jacket, the catch has nothing to 'catch', since it sheared. If the claim doesn't happen, I might try using the pliers trick to squeeze the catch to maybe get a temporary 'purchase' on the bottom, but I definitely want a more robust zipper.

My 18 yr old self annoys me. Apparently I hand filed my SIN application or something when I was 18. My lazy chicken scratch hand writing is unreadable so now my SIN is different on the record than it’s actual number. In the last couple years I’ve had to apply for government stuff and this error always causes a massive headache. My online access keeps getting locked out forcing me to make So many phone calls, stuck on hold for hours. Getting bounced around from one department to the next. It seems unsolvable.
