My former Medicare provider (Lasso) had a yearly program. If you do a wellness check up, a health survey and a satisfaction survey they would rebate you $ 175 + $75 + $ 50 in the form of a debit card that was supposed to be usable only for health care related items. When I signed in in 2022 I completed all 3 and was issued a Nations Benefits debit card with $ 300.00 bucks on it. I spent it. Every cent.

I was happy enough with Lasso that I re-upped for 2023 and in the fall of 2023 I was notified that Lasso was failing and would no longer offer coverage for FY 2024. They said they would honor the wellness program with the wellness check up and the health survey, $ 175 + $ 75 for $ 250. I submitted the form in November and was told I would get my payment in February. It is fucking May and still have not seen it. They are trying to get me to accept a debit card from Walmart for $ 121.78 which they say is my remaining balance from 2023. Except I was never issued a credit or a card in 2023. And at one point in 2023 I did actually have that balance remaining..... on the card issued from 2022:the_finge

We have been going back and forth and now they are requesting that Nations Benefits provides a transaction report. They say that will take up to 2 months.

Except that I have talked with Nations Benefits, they confirm I had an account in 2022, that it was depleted in 2023 and the account was closed upon depletion. When I tried explaining that to the "manager" with Lasso it made no difference, still have to wait.:fuckyou::fuckyou::fuckyou:

Don't really care about the $$$ so much as the principal.

The real question is, the Walmart card was issued and I have an E-copy and for some reason it took forever to show up in my inbox and they are also mailing me a replacement card.

I had a fuck ton of points and put them towards Europe flights for Mrs. PDX and me. No one told me and I never would have found out except I was unable to specify seats on the airline website, so called Chase's customer service in the Philippines to ask WTF. 43 minutes later, they told me that my tickets needed to be re-issued, which they then did.

Just holy fucking shit. How did neither the airline nor Chase know that the tickets needed to be re-issued? And why the fuck do I have to have a phone call with an agent rather than text chat like civilized fucking human beings? And why does the phone call take 43 minutes?

Our cool neighbor had 20 cu yards of mulch delivered last Monday as she's doing a full yard remodel and ripping out all of her grass. She has a narrow single car driveway so the guy dumped the mulch in a long pile along the edge of her yard. It encroached on the road but not enough to be an issue. It's a small neighborhood, 20 mph speed limit, she's on a corner so you see the pile well before you turn down the street. You could still drive 2 cars but it was a tight squeeze which is why I imagine some other megatwat shitpile dickchole cockmunch of a passive aggressive Karen called the city on her first thing Tuesday AM. Instead of, you know, walking over and talking to her about it. Homegirl is working full time and had lined a bunch of friends to help this weekend. Not fast enough apparently, Karen probably needed room to drive her landboat without any obstructions so he/she called it in.

The city inspector rolls up, neighbor's at work, so he comes knocking on my door to ask about the pile. I tell him it's not mine or I'd be mad it had been dumped in front of the wrong house, but I can give him the contact info of neighbor's if he wants it. He huffs and puffs, lectures me about how much of an inconvenience it is to everyone. I tell him it absolutely doesn't bother me at least, and that there's plan to take care of it as soon as realistically feasible without neighbor having to quit her job. Just in case I ask if he can tell me who the douchebag Karen is, and he tells me it's confidential. I ask if he ever got a complaint about the FUCKING BOAT that was parked down the street the entire winter (not a small boat mind you, some monstrosity that actually blocked more than half the road and you couldn't see around), or the houses down the street that insist on parking up to 6 cars on the streets to keep their driveway clear, but apparently that's completely fine. I suggest he go take a look anyway but he apparently has better things to do with his time, I imagine measuring the height of some weeds in a yard or harassing children for drawing on the sidewalk with chalk.

He ended up calling the neighbor and berating her, threatening to fine her, and demanding that the pile be removed within 48 hours. She comes home in a panic and off to work we went, Ms Boissal and I, her ex, another neighbor across the street, anyone with a wheelbarrow and a bit of goodwill. Took the better part of my work-from-home Thursday to relocate the mulch. The inspector drove by again around 4pm (surprised he was still at work), slowed down, and got really nasty looks from 5 people armed with shovels. He wisely kept going. Fucking people...

Same shit happened to me. Changed the flight by a few minutes as well probably a month before. I didn't get any sort of notification I needed to do anything I just put the new time down and forgot about it. I show up at the airport for my flight to Chamonix for a ski trip and found out I had no flight. I'm standing at the ticket counter and the agent is now booking me a flight at that moment. Ended up in Berlin instead of Milan where my buddies and rental car were waiting. I still don't understand how a time change cancels a ticket and no notice given.

Was that booked through Chase Travel too? That's fucked! I can't complain then, I should be thankful for my good luck.

I didn't mention this in my first post, but after I couldn't pick seats on the website, I called the airline for help and they noted the flight had changed (which I already knew), DIDN'T say the tickets weren't valid, and said that since Chase Travel is the travel agent in this transaction, I need to do seat selection through them. So even the airline customer service apparently didn't know wtf was going on.

Chase lets you book travel direct through them or roll the points over to a mileage program, don't think I'll ever book direct through them again, at least, not flights.

Oof. That's pretty bad. And don't get me started on used farm equipment. So many jerks out there trying to get top dollar for equipment like that POS tiller there. After searching for a skid steer for YEARS, we ended up giving up and getting a new Kobota. Used would've saved MAYBE 10 and they are always used HARD and straight up abused. Don't get me wrong. That's what they're there for, but you can go screw yourself if you want me to pay like 90% of new for the "privilege." Same with tractors. Ended up with a new John Deere for the same reason. Sucks because we used to be able to score this stuff fairly cheap. I blame the internet. Haha.

Specifically my account was locked back in February due to "suspicious login activity." To unlock the account I needed to send in a photo of my ID. In any event, I tried sending in photos of my drivers license several times and it got rejected every single time. No idea why. I really didn't want to send them a photo of my passport but I finally caved and did it. That seemed to work. I got an email saying I could get back in that included a code I could use for my password. Go to Facebook and it says the code is not my password. WTF? I then tried resetting my password and now it's back to "your account has been locked." I've gone through that cycle twice now with the exact same results. The code they sent me doesn't allow me back in. It is beyond frustrating. I've tried it on my PC and also my phone.

I don't understand how a platform with a billion users or whatever can be this difficult to deal with. Now I see why so many people just create a new account.

I'll offer a different perspective on that, with total respect to you and your situation; I've been more inclined to check in with long distance family since getting rid of FB several years ago because I don't "fake" know whats going on with them from a POV that's been curated for social media. As in, I call them more and listen better because I'm truly catching up.

And when I see my friends that I only see occasionally, my question of what have you been up to is genuine. Again, no judgement from me, everyone knows what is best for them.
