All You Could Possibly Need To Know

What I think is that your friend's wife told him in no uncertain terms that she's coming this year. Once she decided she was coming she also decided you weren't coming.
I wouldn't hold it against the guy because we all know he just wants to continue to have sex.
So I'm in Arizona and I stopped by a dispensary to pick up some gummies. I put them in the trunk and ran a couple more errands. Get back home, open up the container and all this goo pours out onto the floor. They had melted in the trunk! So now my floor is all sticky, the house smells like weed, and I had to lick the tin clean to get high enough to deal with it.
My dumb Oregon ass didn't even think about that being a possibility.
Totally belongs here

I don't quite think this is correct - we were texting each other and she seemed as if she wanted to join the two of us.
It's this 100%. Although I did promise him that I understood this to be the case and would figure out ways to provide frequent 'alone' time without making it obvious. And just don't fucking invite me in the first place - that's my major issue. I'm an understanding guy, I can take being passed up for pussy on occasion. Oh well.
We plan to both retire at 56, and spend entire winters out in the mountains - so hopefully it all pays off.
UPDATE: A new bro-trip is rising from the ashes of the destruction left by my lame-ass friend. Looks like the Paulster might be heading back to good old W/B as "Mr. Steal Yo' Line."
Maybe waifu admitted to hubby that she has sex fantasy about you...so he freaked and pulled plug...?

It's better for a tradition to die too soon than to go on too long. But both are hard.
Changed garbage companies at the start of September…..Had been using Waste Management (WM) for 20 years? They were fine, but cost has continually gone up/ our neighborhood suggested all of us changing to the same “new” company to reduce truck traffic in our community.
Cancelled at end of term….should of had a 0 balance. Well of course I get the email yesterday that my bill is overdue and I owe 100+ bucks. So, on the phone all morning for them to tell me I am being charged for them picking up my containers upon cancellation/ and the fuel surcharges/taxes associated with that.
Yes, I am annoyed…..The cancellation/pick up fee is like the same amount of my quarterly payment….ridiculous…and nothing I can do but pay up.
You don’t have to pay. Tell them to fuck off. Might be a ding on your credit score. But fuck them.
PS. I like the idea of one company for the hood. I’ve tried that. Both by talking to neighbors but also by talking to the Indy garbage companies. If you own every can on the street it’s a lot more efficient.
If the fee wasn’t clearly disclosed in advance or prominently published you’d just dispute the credit reporting. They’ll lose that dispute.
But things will get awkward if you ever have to go back to them.
I just canceled my propane service. They came and picked up the tank out of my yard. No fees.
The problem with buying jigsaw puzzles at thrift stores.

There's at least four companies that do our "city". It's like the thunderdome.
In our old neighborhood we had two trash services. The town negotiated a contract with one of them - a much lower rate, and the town would just add the service to the water/sewer bills.
We’re all happy about saving money and only having one truck rolling through our kid-filled col de sac.
Except for our Fox watching neighbor - They can’t tell me what trash company to use!
God bless you Sue.

Our county has competitive monopolies. Three companies, each with their own territory. So residential customers don't have any choice, but the city & county theoretically use the threat of replacing one with another (though not sure it actually works)
Yeah, we have 3 in our area….
-WM
-County Waste
-Eastern Waste and Recycling
Our community negotiated with Eastern so they now have all the houses in our neighborhood (15 homes)…….but we all are having to cancel with our prior company (most w/ WM)……so that probably pissed them off/ so they instituted this bogus cancellation/pickup of the containers charge.
I’ll just end up paying it/ I don’t really want to mess with them screwing with my credit…and adding more penalties/late fees…..the longer I wait.
It totally sucks/ that’s why I’m annoyed.
I canceled AT&T DSL service on Aug 11, spending 36 minutes on the phone with them to to that. AT&T just sent me a bill for service for Aug 13- Sept 12. Called them again, spent another 18 min on the phone, clueless CSR said to just wait and not pay the bill, there should be another one coming that clears up that charge.
My guess is they send me a bill including a late fee for not paying this bullshit bill.
If you already have good credit. Just tell them to fuck off.
It’s so satisfying.
We switched from Consolidated Communications and they did the same thing to us--charged us for service after the cancellation date--and we got the same story --we'll straighten it out with a new bill. I wasn't happy but we waited to pay and they did straighten it out. I'm not sure why these companies' electrons take as long to turn as Great Lakes freighters but they do.
And isn't the multiple private garbage companies more of an Eastern US/mafia kind of thing. Or do I watch too much TV? Anyway, be careful crossing your garbage company, you could get curb stomped.
The local waste transfer station is a 5min drive, we end up with far more free stuff than garbage to pay tipping fees for. Ends up being a trip every two weeks with one having a couple garbage bags. Odd load of wood waste/demo stuff that is billed by the tonne. Most months about $2 in tipping, maybe $20 in tonnage fees during the summer. So much cheaper and easier than the local garbage pickup that only deals with household garbage and paper recycling, for what was $14/mo 10+yrs ago.
What amuses me (I know wrong thread) is US mags complaining about free market (garbage collection) competition :D and brings that movie ‘Just Kill Me’ to mind. Mmmm, Téa Leoni
Well it is a great way to dispose of a body - though nothing beats pig farm.
That may be changing in Canada. And no joking matter. Very sad story(s) out of Winnipeg

I get the dark humour, but timing is everything.
Holy fuck... I was of course referring to Robert Pickton, and although in poor taste, enough time has passed for macabre jokes about him. Didn't realize there was a recent copy cat. That's just gut wrenching. Right down to the same racist indifference. Ugh.
Garbage is weird here. It’s all private. With multiple trucks up and down the street.
I’m all for free market capitalism. My idea is three year contracts where it’s open bid for each town. Private companies but less traffic and wasted gas.
Gobmint garbage is wasteful. On Long Island they have two man crews come by twice a week. On union pay and benefits and retirement. Of course they have the highest taxes in the us.
