Once I fell asleep yesterday I was down for the count and slept through what sounds like the worst fireworks we've ever had here. My wife and kid said the windows were rattling! This morning I went out and two trees in the empty corner lot were blown to bits, someone dragged the big branches out of the way already. Fuckn wussies blocked a dead end street that they don't even live on:cussing: Our poor dog who was already partially sedated had a complete meltdown and finally passed out under the bed.

Wakeboard boats going slow to make bigger wakes and destroying the shoreline annoy me. I guess they'll have to do something about it when the road starts to go--within a foot in some places. Our cockapoo doesn't seem to mind. We started her swimming this year at 2 y/o. She fetches a flip flop until we drag her back to the house. The waves batter her against the shore, she just keeps going back out.

Our new Golden is impervious. He was about 10 or 12 weeks old on his first July 4th. We live close to Snow King, so while watching the show, we basically fed him a kibble every few seconds as the booms went off.
It was a ‘perfect storm’ of opportunity for positive reinforcement, his age, etc.
Now he’s a rock star.

Not sure why the change as his living situation is the same. Last night I could not even get him to stay outside long enough to pee so he just held it all night.
