Nice humble brag^^ :D
Every right to brag. I’m a month behind of my winter gear maintenance. That said, the family XC gear in number equals DH. So many skinny sticks, 50mm takes almost as much time as 130mm to wax.
Very nice spread of disciplines. Emphasis on gravity pursuits. <Moustache emoji>
I would have driven over, show the mechanic how to fix it, and charged them an extra $200.
Microsoft annoys me. https://doctorow.medium.com/https-pl...n-af0ed5dd29f2
Amazing that the list of their past offenses is so long that there's no mention of MS changing their TOS to ban class action against them. For anything, no matter how they might violate their own TOS (again). Care? For at least a year they've been too big to notice at all.
“Social anxiety.” It’s a thing, sure. But it’s not a productive thing. Now that it has a pat label it seems as if it’s now more acceptable to avoid social situations, like asking a question or approaching somebody, rather than overcome it. Like it’s an obvious reason to not engage with the world.
One of the toilets in my house needs a valve replacement and when I looked in the tank I noticed the bolts that secure the tank to the lower part of the toilet were rusty, so when I bought the valve replacement kit I also bought a bolt set. Get it home and the set only includes two bolts, but the tank needs three. Is there ever a DIY job that only requires a single trip to Home Depot?
I wouldn’t replace them, they’re doing their job and they’ll just rust again

I had/have it, but have developed strategies to largely overcome it. So, i sympathize with folks who also have it- it can be debilitating.
But, i also see all sorts of mental health issues(like social anxiety) being used as excuses to not engage, and not even try in many aspects of life. Instead of it being seen as something to overcome, or deal with, too many people see their issues as reasons or excuses to fail. And that sucks- for them and for the people around them.
In my experience you're doing great if you only need one trip back to HD during a project. I'm fortunate my local store is only 5 min away ....

As an adjunct professor, course evaluations annoy me. So hard to reconcile the glowing evaluations with the ones that say I am a shitty person and a shitty professor.
Water pressure in our neighborhood has been higher than normal (130 vs 80) for months without any action by the water dept to address it other than recommending buying a relief gauge that would be 700 to install. The alternative is to join the growing list of people that have had to replace blown out h2o heaters and irrigation lines
All the pressure relief valves I'm familiar with are for occasional pressure surges. Can I assume you mean pressure reducing valve/regulator?
Constant 130 psi can do a lot of damage. Truly annoying.
That’s the Amt I’ve heard from a couple neighbors that have already gone ahead w the part. Plumber bill Doesn’t surprise me too much since I’ve been charged 500 to auger a main line in the past. More annoyed the water dept is acting like they have nothing to do w the issue
