I think we're going to have to agree to disagree there. Any single who's willing to make the effort to join a group in one of the other lines is welcome to it. By your logic, should we forbid two friends who are skiing together from separating and going into the singles line?

The specific scenario Danno is responding to has a packed maze, a singles line on the left hand side. A skier skis up on the right, outside the maze, and ducks a rope to join a party already near the front of the line.

It’s for sure kind of a douche move, and way different than entering the corral at the end and finding a group to join as you make your way to the front. I don’t know why this is so difficult to understand.

that's all I am saying. enter the maze through the singles line or not, join as a single with people next to you, all fine. Cutting to the front of the group line as a single when there is a singles line? No bueno.

Permission granted. What ski area? What lift? Not sure I get the lift set up but sounds acceptably weasily. I will say that over the year, the collective tolerance for greasy operations seems to have declined.

I filled up the cylinder with a combo of PB Blaster and some motor oil and am giving it a few days to think about it's choices. Then the plan is to use an impact wrench to turn the flywheel bolt. It's a ~15 year old free hand me down craftsman blower so I'm skeptical it's worth the HF motor since I'm sure something else will crap out next year.

Let us know how it turns out.

I basically ignored that email and started looking for alternative flights. Booked American, (only a few seats left, and 6 hours earlier), then got the email much later that of course there’s no other flights on Alaska anyway. All of this cost us about 800 bucks. (For just the outbound.)

"Annoy" may not be quite strong enough to express my feelings, but I 100% support your assessment that it's a giant fuckshow. It's fucking appalling, it's at the point where I'm wondering if Airbus is safer because they're not as cozy with their regulators as Boeing apparently is. The fuckers that run Boeing should have baristas and servers spitting in their coffee and food, have people protesting outside their houses and their kids schools, and ideally face penalties including loss of their stock grants and jobs. Obviously none of that will ever happen, but I can dream.

Spending more time cleaning up snow after a storm than I did skiing it annoys me. Relatedly, sloped roofs that dump into a walkway annoy me, as do roofs that aren't sloped enough and need to be raked.
