Cattle prod the dog owner.
I've been rationalizing it out.
It was just an accident.
Owner coulda been more controlling, dog could be better behaved and I coulda, shoulda just yelled at him.
The annoyance was keeping the bike so buffed for years and having it happen like that.
Finding a new tank is almost fruitless and they're about $900; and a black one is impossible to find.
Whatever. I've gotten over it. My steam blow up seemed to have worked.
Since the client is 80 and just fought off the lung cancer, I'ma forego the prodding, but yer not wrong.
You should try Yoga, holding on to material things is unhealthy.
Surrender to the Flow
Is that what you do when your neighbors introduce themselves?
Rushed to get to a 2:00 appointment and barely made it on time only to find out the appointment is at 2:30.
Ha...may i suggest that certain people could use a bit of Punk and Metal in their life?
But yeah DJ, that's a tough pill. "Shit Happens" doesn't unscratch the tank.
Put don't listen too me, my entire existence has patina.
Sent from my Turbo 850 Flatbrimed Highhorse
I got the same when used a broker to ship a car.
If you think you might have Alzheimer's you don't. Yet.
But if you've been worrying about Alzheimer's and forget something, all of a sudden you'll notice how many things you've been forgetting. It's just the Baader-Meinhof effect (although why it's named after a 70's German red terrorist cell is beyond me. It should be named after something people actually know about, say the Trump effect. You read about Trump and all of a sudden you notice that there are 12 posts about Trump every day, when in fact there always have been and always will be.)
When you stop noticing that you're forgetting things, THEN you have Alzheimer's. But you won't worry about it because you'll have forgetten there is such a thing.
I just hope if that happens I’m harmless and happy.
Not at me, I know, but punk and metal are my 2nd and 3rd middle names. FTR
I'm at the heavy sigh stage about the tank. I've had so much western drama this summer that this is just a symptom of my daily shite. It only takes a moment and a look around to memba how good I have it.
But I am fretting this La Nina...rarely good for us. Gonna be road tripping.
My life is chock full o' patina too. But any idea that I am tied to anything is misled. I have a 21 yr. old moto, a 28 yr. old Pathy and a 10 yr. old TDI wagon. I put almost nothing into having things and have been a follower of the tao te ching for over 30 years.
For a variety of other reasons, I do indeed need me some yogas.
I consider us older hipsters as the Last Bohemians...
Been in Wyo for a few decades and never been around a cattle prod. Ski bum, not a C'boy.
So I have no practical knowledge of it's variants.
I laffed tho, thinking if I shocked him and he blew a load, at 80 he'd likely be amped.;)
220, 221, whatever it takes...
I've had to rejoin reality somewhat and go into the office a couple mornings per week lately. I have a meeting that gets out at 10:30 so I typically drive back home then under the assumption that driving back midday would be better than waiting till the end of the day and rush hour. Maybe, but not much. I can't believe how bad traffic has been between 10:30 and 11:00 am. I would have thought everyone was where they needed to be by then. Of course I must also acknowledge that I'm part of the problem! Maybe WFH has just spread out traffic throughout the day. Too many people coming and going throughout the day now?
Traffic everywhere is fucked from all his stuff, there used to be a pattern but now it's just random particles in motion.
People used to be like, I'll stop by the grocery store, the hardware store and the dry cleaner on the way home from work but now they're all their own separate little trips.
We see this on the trails. They used to be the playgrounds of the young, retired, rad, and underemployed during the day.
I have a long list of reasons why I hate the local for profit power company, SDGE. Like failing to maintain their lines and burning down the county and then charging us to pay for the settlement. I was looking over my last SDGE bill and noticed a new line item "Minimum Charge Adjustment." Called to ask what it was and turns out they now charge a fee if you don't use enough power per month. Insanity. I don't have solar and used 281 kWh, so greater than 50% of baseline.
