I'll agree that YouTube videos beat just having a text and line drawing service manual, but having both the written instructions and the video is decidedly the best of both worlds. There's often something that isn't explicitly called out in the instructions that you can watch on the video and realize which way a piece of plastic pops off or such; at the same time, most of the videos gloss over something that makes far more sense after reading the actual instructions.
^that and most videos have 5 minutes of music, intro, and "smash the like button and follow me!!!1!"
Despite all that, I've fixed a bunch of stuff based on this dudes channels, so I'll give them a shout out.

“Smash the button” annoys me. Makes me want to smash their face.
I really hate having to go through a 20 minutes video trying to find a torque spec that usually isn't mentioned.
Finally get a great day of weather here in VT so we load up the rig for a day of paddle boarding and visiting a job site for a house I designed for some friends. Damn deer runs onto the interstate at 10am in late July. Kinda of changed how the day went.

Indeed. You can't beat YT videos for learning some little trick that is NOT explained in any manual. That said, I rely on my tech manuals first and then go to YT when the manual's not clear enough about something. YT has been a Godsend for us DIY'ers, but you really have to sift through a lot of videos before determining which one (hopefully) has the best advice. This is where YouTube removing the dislike counter has been a serious disservice. Now you have to go through a lot more garbage before finding a more helpful video.
For random odds and ends around the house, I'm a fan of seejanedrill. She's a carpenter that's helped me up my game a lot in that department and a lot of other misc handywork. She's so positive and motivational, you can't help but like her. https://www.youtube.com/@seejanedrill
Annoyed I ride through this on the way to the trail. I hate these fucking “wheels of fortune”, and how much water they waste, so to get reminded of it all the time annoys me.

While bike theft grinds my gears, having been a victim, I'm more annoyed at how much the bike cost. Don't get me wrong, I think bike theft, especially theft of those like mine that were used to get to a job, should be a hanging offense, like horse thiefing.
No bike built by Specialized should be 10k.
Best part is that they have the name wrong. It's an SL, not an LS. And it appears to be an ebike, hence the cost?
When are we going to stop calling them bikes and remember that it's a fuckin moped.
I prefer Motorcycle
Well yeah but then again it was over quickly for the deer. I however am going to spend the next 3 months dealing with the shitshow that insurance and autobody shops are these days. Already see where this is headed with USAA telling me their current shitty system of estimating via pics and making the body shop fight for the actual money needed for repairs is “the way every insurance company does things”. I’ve been with USAA over 30 years because they were not like every other company. More annoyance.
