Always thought that was cute, though I don’t imagine it’s original.
I’m with option C. - it was AN accident. I suspect “on accident” is meant to be the opposite of “on purpose,” but the opposite of purpose isn’t accident.
I think "on accident" is used as a synonym for mistake in situations where the result is the actual "accident" and was not triggered by an accident. For example, I was sitting in the chair watching a movie and I shat my pants ________. Choose one of "by accident", "on accident", or "by mistake".Quote:
