That's awesome. Coworkers all from "the county"?

I don’t watch that much TV, but damn annoying is this Old Navy commercial with (is that Stifler’s mom?)….
Why would your Xmas slogan be “Sorry\Not Sorry”…..? What does that even mean or have to do with Xmas.
Safeway has valentine's displays up
It's for all those people who break up during the holidays to look forward to a cheap box of chocolate. Prophetic I say. Safeway.
More evergreen content and the PNWet mags will know what I'm talking about...
Queueing up in one lane on a plowed, broken snow-covered two-lane, same-direction highway. Sunday, I'm headed home from my local ski hill, and there's a stretch of US highway that is clearly two lanes in one direction and there are miles of cars lined up in the far right lane. So I do what any sane person would do; get in the left lane and drive a reasonable speed and pass all of the skillet-lickers until the merge point. The number of honks and fist-shaking was comical. I had one crimefighter in a clapped-out Ford Focus try to get out of his lane to block me. Not only did he spin his wheel and nearly slide into the car next to him, but I also went calmly around him because I have snow tires.
Idiots. Two lanes; use them all the way up to the merge point. Zipper merging works.
Driving down Donner Pass Rd along the lake, doing the speed limit and trying not to get too close to the cop in front of me, guy gets on my bumper, honking his horn and otherwise going ape shit. I was hoping he would try to pass me and the cop (it's double solid yellow) but no such luck.
Yeah. People always give me dirty looks for using the whole merge lane before I merge, but it’s better for traffic, and more predictable. So of course PNW drivers don’t like it
Failure to zipper merge has chapped the collective ass before.

Edit: oh, looks like CS bumped one.
Here in Utah they made it illegal to merge early. I wish they would put up a PSA sign at the beginning of Little Cottonwood.

It’s such a weird thing, because good people feel like assholes for doing precisely the right thing. Will be hard to change habits on this.
I agree. I feel the same way about people that ignore right-of-way rules at intersections so they can feel good about waving the other driver ahead. Stopping in the middle of the road to wave me out doesn’t make me like you. In fact, making me try to read your mind is infuriating. Just follow the rules, take your turn and move the process along please.
It's even more fun when someone decides that it makes sense to stop and block the main road so they can wave someone across. If there's no traffic behind you, just keep running and they can turn. If there is traffic behind you, it will flow much better if you don't block it. That's why we give right of way to the traffic on the main road.
(Situations where traffic is stopped within sight ahead, or where sticking to normal right of way creates a standoff because queued traffic is blocking people in both lanes from turning excepted, of course)

This is exactly analogous to walking on the left side of a multi-use path, to avoid bikes coming up blind behind you.
Fight me.
Right of way at a 4 way stop is meaningless to us with dyslexia.
