FWIW, the charge on mine lasts many months. I was camping last month and my battery died (I think I left an interior light on all weekend). Pulled out the jump starter that hadn't been charged in many many months, and boom! Jump started.
They also double as a great charging block for devices when camping.
Seriously, every car should have one. The devices the m-series linked don't handle the random time when your battery dies, those only work when you know you need to cut power to the battery, like long term travel. But shit happens, your kid turns the interior light on, or the battery is on its last legs and you haven't yet realized it, whatever, the jump starter takes care of it. And even if a car jump is readily available, sometimes you're parked in a location where it's really hard to get another car next to you.
