Shit that annoys you

^^ pretty much this I think. Like all things, there is a bunch of gray between the black and white dos and donts in the workplace. I share a lot with some coworkers who are friends, much less with people I rarely interact with. Even from job to job it changes based on the culture of the company. Is it open? Is it more buttoned up? And that’s me as someone who gets all the benefits of my gender/race/sexuality. I can’t imagine how much harder it is to navigate when you have to weigh the possible negatives of being “found out” vs telling people

I find it amusing and ironic that in a discussion of what is required to be respectful to people, your response to someone you disagree with is name calling and telling them to shut up. You have much, much bigger problems than dealing with pronouns.

You should probably prattle on for another 7 paragraphs rationalizing how somebody’s gender identity isn’t an appropriate topic for casual conversation. Definitely don’t take a moment to understand what is even being discussed. You should probably not allow for the possibility that the world is changing in spite of your protestations and that you might be off base here. Fight it with walls of text!

I find it disheartening but predictable that instead of acknowledging that you might have it wrong, you just descended into an ad hominem retort about all of my big problems. Sure buddy.

When you ask a patroller standing at the gate when it’ll open and they say:

“50% chance it opens in an hour or so”

So you ski down the other way , only to see the powder rush 10 minutes later from below.

Well either he lied to clear us out of the area or he didnt know what the fuck he was talking about in which case he could have said, “I don’t know”

Of course I should not have asked and hung around since they had just bombed and ski cut it and what the fuck was he doing there if not to open it shortly.

Either way I was annoyed

I would guess he was stopping people from skiing it until he got a radio call to open it and he didn't know if/when that call would come.

Pro tip: only one of the doors has a lock on it. It's right there just over or under the handle on one side. A round metal thing you put the key into. That is the side that is locked if one is. Use the other side.

Anyone who thinks that cut up/side slipped off powder is as good as untracked should be disqualified from skiing untracked.

Again, I should have never asked and drawn the obvious conclusion that it was to open soon.
