Thanks guys…all reported to my employer the day it happened/claim filing process in effect. Assuming anything not covered by my insurance/ will be covered by doing all the PA workman’s comp paperwork.
It’s been a good past two days/ seems to really be getting close to normal.
As said above, It will/should ALL be covered by worker's comp. Your personal insurance will likely refuse to pay anything if they know it happened when you were clocked in at work.Quote:

This fucking rentals hot water is all over the place. Some days its cool, some days its warm, and every now and then its hot. Just had the most disappointing shower after a long run, got the thermometer on it, 103 degrees. Sounds hot, but I'm now shivering. If it were my place I;d just go turn the water heater up, but no, gotta go through the landlord who is old.

My wife's Highlander came with the headlights pointed up, so got flashed constantly. Was under warranty and had it in for oil change, so told them to align properly...and they just pointed them all the way down, so could only see about 10 ft in front of car. Seems like a major liability not to follow the Toyota procedure to point them correctly. I ended up pointing them myself and no longer get flashed. On top of the aftermarket overly bright lights, I think a lot of new cars are also ncoming with not properly aligned lights.
Yeah, the article does touch on alignment, but also points out that misalignment is a much bigger problem when the headlights are more than twice as bright as the used to be.Quote:

While we're on the subject of headlights...
Modern cars with daytime running lights are great, but most of them seem to have the dash illuminated all the time. So I see people all the time who do not actually have their lights on, they have the DRL and they can see their dash. In brightly lit areas, you don't always know that the light you're seeing emanating from your car is just DRLs. In brightly lit areas, we used to figure out that our lights were not on at night because we couldn't see the dash! But they don't know that now, and so they don't realize that they have zero tail lights on.
Tell me you've got cataracts without telling me you've got cataracts :)
I'm hoping the adaptive matrix headlights become the norm at some point. Following curves and making a dark spot on the driver of oncoming cars is such a win.
Hell, forget DRLs, the number of people I see every day driving around in the dark without any lights on at all is terrifying. I don't bother flashing my lights at them anymore because none of them ever get it.Quote:

Honestly, where i live, i just leave my lights on full time for 4-5 months of year. They automatically shut off 10 seconds after the engine turns off and the door shuts. I drive to work in the dark, i drive home at dusk, and when i drive during the day its nearly always rainy... so i just leave them flipped on.
Don't modern cars with Daytime Running Lights have automatic headlight sensors that automatically turn on when its dark? Even my wife's POS 2011 Escape has automatic headlights. Am i missing something here?
They do, but apparently some people turn off the automatic lights. I will say they work pretty well, but not perfectly. I was driving in dense fog a couple days ago and realized my lights weren't on. There must have been enough scattered light to throw off the sensor, but they clearly needed to be on due to the visibility.Quote:

Maybe it helps that my driving lights come on with my brights and the combo is suitable for landing small aircraft (and yes, I'm well aware of that and am careful to minimize the amount I have them on when they could adversely affect someone else, to the point that I won't usually flash one car in a line that has left brights on or lights off).
