one of my friends was in SF on business and managed a pretty sweet trifecta; Tahoe Phish, a friend of his is friends with Warren and Farmer set up a pass to TRI for the Weir Here, and then TRX for the birthday show. The pace crushed him, we're fucking old now! This is a guy I went to lots of dead shows with in college and after, and he said he had full tears streaming during Black Muddy River....Quote:

HFS! I saw about 30 'shows' between '88-'91 (including several with less than 50 attendees), then took a big hiatus until '98. After Trey's bust in Whitehall, I'd had enough. So how bout those Dick's shows, eh?!? Set 1 Night 3 was my fav set of the weekend. Those songs are why I love phish. Pretty much all of night 1 crushed as well. Pretty pissed about the unfinished Hood (kept waiting for them to jam back into it on night 3), but that transition into Silent in the Morning was about as seamless as it gets. That shits not easy!!
If you ask me, the boys are fully on top of their game. Still amazing musicians, still full of energy, they're exploring old songs in new ways, and the jams are fully experimental while remaining cohesive and interesting. Fucking rock on phish!!
